WWE has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstar Balls Mahoney as of today, April 28, 2008. We wish Mahoney the best in all his future endeavors.

If Kelly Kelly really loved Balls, she'd follow him out the door.

But she doesn't.

Stevie, Dreamer, Nunzio, Tazz, Styles are the last of the Originals.

I think he was the last guy Matt Striker pinned in a singles match. Striker used a swank shinbone neckbreaker on him.

What about Super Crazy, Chris Jericho and SmackDown! color commentator Mick Foley?

For some reason I don't see Jericho or Foley as an original because they spent so much time in WCW/WWE.

The same would go for nunzio (he's been with WWE for quite some years now) and Richards if it wasn't for the fact that everyone has a crush on Stevie going back to his ECW days.

So yeah..Crazy would be the truely last ECW guy cos he wasn't WWE before the return of the brand. Yet it still comes down on Dreamer's (and a bit on Stevie's) shoulders to keep the name alive.

*sigh* Why bother?

They're doing a pretty poor job, then.

Stevie still interests me when he gets on TV - Dreamer doesn't get much to do other than his JTTS act since around the time Sabu left, and ECW officially became "Just Another Brand"™. I don't see any of the others particularly as ECW guys anymore. For his skill set, I thought Balls was an atypical character, which should have been worth something.

Taylor, now Mahoney - isn't a post-WM purge something of a tradition around Stamford?

NITPICK ALERT:
Crazy joined WWE after the first ONS, rather than after the second ONS (the return of the brand).

So Crazy is the last original member of a prestigious chapter of wrestling history, only instead of ECW it's the Mexicools.

It is the policy of the documentary crew to remain true observers and not interfere with its subjects.

Who is Conan O'Brien? And why is she so sad?

Am I the only one amazed that Stevie Richards has actually cashed paychecks that don't bounce for over a decade straight?

I'm more surprised that he has been around that long and they never found anything for him to do after the Right to Censor folded it's tents. Good worker and a great talker, should be a manager, but other than his cup of coffee with Kronik and his Heat as 'GM' run he's done nothing other than lose an incredible amount of matches.

I bet he's made some good money for himself. He is what all young jobbers should strive to be.

I think it's more strange that in every thread where someone gets laid off, the discussion somehow morphs into "how does Stevie Richards still have a job?"

You both fail. Super Loco was in the 1997 WWF Light Heavyweight tournament (YouTube) AND appeared on a lot of episodes of Los SuperAstros, ALL of which was before ECW.

They could have let him go a bit better aswell, giving him a 4-5 month losing streak.
