Really? In late August? It wouldn't kill you to wait another month and not embarrass your guys a year after they reach the fall classic for the first time in your franchise's history? Come on.
Spending that last month of the season in Baseball Limbo is exactly how Craig Biggio envisioned the end of his baseball career, I'm sure. He deserves a lot better than this. How is it that the two teams that were in the World Series just two years ago are now completely in the toilet?
And speaking of the '05 World Series, if Garner's been shown the door, does that mean Ozzie's not far behind?
