Outside of football (where the browns rank #2) I am a big Cleveland sports fan. And the Cavs really suck, so no one ever talks about them. But somebody has to give some props to Andre Miller. It's only his third year and he is on his way to becoming one of the best point guards in the game. Just comparing him this year to Jason Kidd shows how good he really is. Kidd is getting some talk for mvp even though he probably won't win it. Miller averages more points (16.3-15.0), has a higher shooting percentage (.449-.393), averages more assists (10.9-10.0), less turnovers (3.0-3.5) and does so with about 10 times less talent around him. I don't think Miller is better than Kidd, but I think he is damn close and has a whole bunch of years still to play. Cleveland must resign this guy if they ever plan on going to the playoffs again.
Resigning Ricky Davis, finding a way to sign Bonzi Wells and drafting Drew Gooden would really help, too. I'm not confident in Jim Paxson's ability to go 1/3, let alone 3/3.
Providence lost most of a team that knocked off Pitt when they were #1, and then found a way to make the NIT when they had a good shot at the NCAA Tourney. Thus, if things break well, they could get into 15th place in the Big East.
