The 2600+ is based on the rating system that AMD uses to show how their processor peforms compared to an Intel processor. The AMD Athlon family of chips is more efficient clock for clock than the Intel Pentium line. See here: http://18.104.22.168/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=86,E=0000000000177570706,K=2257,Sxi=2,Case=obj(3511) (AMD) and here http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInformation/0,,30_118_756_3734^3750,00.html I prefer AMD processors for my home PCs. Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid.
