That was... interesting. Still quite the opening for whenever they want to get back to the status quo though.
Hopefully that was vague enough, too late in the night to spend time with spoiler tags, etc.

I cannot answer that without Aaron getting mad. Yes it's available, in places.
Also, $8 for a comic? J-s C-t!

ya know , its crap like this that makes me glad i don't read these any more. I mean really THAT'S their big idea...man Parker can't get a break in any universe can he?
Dont say its not worth it, when you can sleep with no fear, that kind of time is worth any thing.- FFX
I guess Slott has been getting legit death threats which he shouldn't. Spiderman has been getting the raw end since Civil War started. Prior to that he was a New Avenger in good standing, had MJ and Aunt May knew who he was which took a ton of weight off his shoulders plus he was employed as a teacher. As soon it started, May gets shot, he becomes a federal fugitive, Aunt May gets shot, he loses MJ through magical divorce, reverts back to being a lazy bastard who was publicly out as a fraud by JJJ and now is dead. I actually would like Peter Parker to be dead, because its a release from the shitty writing of the last five years.

I had to run from the computer. Sorry. I'll go to the spoilovision:

There is no brain swap. Doc Ock's machine isn't that sophisticated. But it can read and store brain patterns. Ock and Spidey's brains have been overwritten by the other's patterns. Ock THINKS he's Spidey, and Spidey THINKS he's Ock. The memories they are accessing are their own, but the new patterns don't have that info and react to it as if it's new info. Eventually Peter's subconscious will fight to regain control from the new pattern, and Spidey will lose the Ock pattern. Until then, he's got an artificial case of multiple personality disorder, with Ock dominating. Think of it as Fight Club, with Peter as Jack and Ock as Tyler. Question is: How long will Jack be "asleep?"

I think of worse things than Matt's theory. Personally, I think someone like Reed or Tony or someone will figure it out and reverse it. Spidey is still with Future Force or no?

I liked it. It was different. Or it was to me, I don't read Spider-Man comics usually. But...

I kind of like how Peter Parker isn't Spider-Man in Marvel Comics anymore, currently. Doc Ock is Spider-Man in 616 and Miles Morales is Spider-Man in Ultimate. The only Peter Parker left is Andrew Garfield in the movies.

I call bullshit on this umbrage. You cannot make this argument when the very conception of the title character in question is he was bitten by a "radioactive spider" and thus gained the superpowers to be a human spider. Oh, and the villain in question gained the power to control robot octopus arms via a radioactive explosion. If you willingly swallow those conceits, any other fake comic book science goes.

I think this is the biggest hint that this storyline is temporary. There are far too many Spidey associates who will be able to figure out it's not Peter, whether it's through magic (Dr. Strange), sensory readings (Daredevil) or mind-reading. Or, frankly, just simple body language and personality, since Doc Ock isn't that good an actor to 'be' Peter Parker around his loved ones without anyone noticing something's up.

It reminds me of that West Coast Avengers run when people thought it wasn't Tony inside the armor and they would bad mouth Tony in front of him.

The sudden use of the voldermort/harry connection at the end that peter used to transfer his emotional attachment caught me a bit of guard but I really cant think of another way they could have pulled that off. So now ock has peters memories, skills, and the emotional attachment to Peters previous life. And he will be spending all of his time trying to be Peter Parker. I'm betting a year from now all of his doc ockness will have simply faded into the background and he will be just peter parker
I thoroughly enjoyed the story the past few books. If anyone would get to pull a trick like this, it would be Doc Ock, who's always been Peter's counterpart (both science geeks) I'm interested to see where this "road to redemption" will lead to, but also how Doc will manage to improve Peter's designs. As he already pointed out, Peter could've done so much more if he had put his focus on developing his suits (though of course he did that the last year or so..)
They did give themselves a way out, but I am interested how long they will take to get there. And if they indeed have the balls to have people act suspicious. Doc Spidey was a bit more crude to others..will that fade or will that stay. Interesting..
