In my own mind, I've been very consistent about this going back almost five years to the original ezboard, but you - YOU can't read my mind yet. So, here's an annoying thread to annoy you, but at least you won't be able to say I've never given you fair warning.
I'm of the opinion that there is really no good reason at all to have the results of tapings posted here, because the only discussion that results from it is the kind of smarky crap that I hate reading as everyone tries to one-up each other with shitty one liners about how (wrestler x/booking decision x/fed x) sucks. Half the time the comments are rendered moot in a matter of days when the actual show airs and people suddenly find out that, gosh, what was described didn't really capture what came across on the television.
Rarely, the reports posted here aren't even correct. Sometimes this will burn people who made sweeping proclamations based on something they THOUGHT was true but turned out to be bullshit. Alas, those people tend to forget and relapse to their old behaviour in under a month.
I've been too subtle lately, so I'm coming out and saying it now: NO MORE SPOILER REPORTS POSTED ON THIS BOARD. This is mainly limited Smackdown tapings and Impact tapings. I will still allow reports of OVW television because the supermajority of readers don't get to watch that show at air time anyway, and I think the contributors of said reports are providing a valuable service by putting together their own perspective and original content - unlike the people who are only doing a cut-n-paste of "news."
You want to talk about Impact, fantastic - start a thread Thursday night after the show's over.
You want to talk about Smackdown, fantastic - start a thread Friday (or Thursday, if you're Canadian and can't wait) after the show's over.
Notice those italics? This is not a board for "real-time" discussion. The RAW thread shouldn't start at 9:03 Eastern Time just because you saw something mind-boggling in the first 60 seconds of the show. I used to close the board between 9 and 11:10, and I'll do it again if I have to, but I like to pretend that if you're posting here, you have enough of a maturity level to understand what I want AND to accept it.
This board has thread icons which can be used to tag your thread! Please use them! They make threads easy to segregate by subject should anyone ever want to do that! (I know, I know - you think nobody wants to do that. You'd be surprised!) It would also be nice if you were descriptive enough with your thread title that people visiting the site months and years from now might be able to figure out just which show you're talking about.

Although some of these guidelines may (or may not) apply to other fora, THIS PARTICULAR MESSAGE ONLY APPLIES TO THIS, THE "PRO WRESTLING" FORUM, so don't try to do any fancy extrapolatin'. Specifically, do not bitch about supposed "rule violations" because I may allow (or even encourage!) the behaviour you're ready to complain about. I'm sure some day every forum will have its OWN version of this thread and THEN you will know when to take me to task for being a big crybay hypocrite.
