Well, the Islanders continued their recent lackluster play, and could only tie dunkndollaz' Rangers. They had the lead, and then botched the whole thing. They were looking kind of bright for a while not too long ago, but now.....
While pretty much every other team in the East is picking up their play, the Isles have been struggling to eke out much of anything. I know, they're still unbeaten in their last seven, but they absolutley cannot continue playing this way. Their recent wins have been pretty tough in coming. They've been missing out on way too many good chances.
Now I hate to spew all this doom and gloom out against my own damn team, especially with around 20 or so games still left, but this is not encouraging. At this rate, if they do get to the playoffs (they probably will, I'll give them that), they won't last seven games in the first round again.
Leetch's PPG was a true thing of beauty - I'll take the point.........thank you Vancouver for helping the B's continue on their downward slide - there could be hope for my NYR just yet
The Fishstix played hard last night and Snow looked like a lite version of Billy Smith as he did battle in front of his net - how is Osgood being healthy going to effect Snow's play and will Laviolette make the right netminding call - the battle for 6-7-8 will be interesting to watch - no one wants the Sens or the devils in Round 1 (except my Rangers who will take any post season opponent at this point)
5 Time 5 Time 5 Time 5 Time 5 Time Wiener of the Day Runner-up
I usually think that Bill Waters should be committed, but he made a really good point the other night on Sportsnet News. He said that Mario was a big problem with why the team wasn't living up to expectations because of the way he's treated Crosby.
