I was looking through some of my old PMs and it occurred to me that I would be able to remember the whole conversation better if it were displayed in a thread format like the messages on the public boards rather than only seeing the messages I've received. Just a suggestion....

It would only work if the other side had not deleted the PM. We only store one copy of each PM. So - in the current format, not likely to happen.

PM is the lowest priority feature offered on the board, in my opinion -- it's for post-it notes. Any real conversations should probably be taken to (private) e-mail.

Not that we read your PMs but we could - your email is a much more private venue for private conversations.

I don't intend to pursue this further, but what about leaving the entry with (deleted dd-MON-yyyy hh:mm by userX) like when a thread post is deleted? (just curious)

*edit: ...I don't use PMs for what I consider "private" conversation anyways. Mostly just for topics that are not of interest to the majority of the board.

Unlike threads, when you delete PMs they are deleted - gone.

I was wondering if it is possible to add a spell check feature to PM?

Uhm... maybe.

I can't remember how hard it was to implement. I think it was pretty easy.

Another minor idea concerning PMs. How about a "DELETE ALL" option? One click and bang...all PMs are history?

Jeeze Louise, you saw where I said I didn't want to work on the PM features, right? Right?

I'll think about it
