Fresh off earning the second overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft through the lottery process, the Philadelphia 76ers have hired Doug Collins as their head coach.

Lifetime, Collins is 332-287, having coached for Chicago, Detroit and Washington. To me, he'll always be the guy that preceded Phil Jackson with the Bulls.

I don't know why he would leave what he is best at just to coach this team of all teams. I know he played there, but that team is carrying a lot of ugly contracts. I don't see a lot of room for improvement.
