From Newark, NJ.

Ruby Riott beat Bayley on the pre-show. Sasha refused to be in Bayley's corner, and Riott took advantage of the numbers to pick up the win with her kick. Match was okay, not as good as the Sasha/Ruby match from Raw.

Seth Rollins beat the Miz with the Curbstomp in a barnburner. This was hands-down the best match on the show, and a real hot opener. Rollins is on a different plane of awesomeness in his latest singles incarnation, getting the reactions that a true superstar gets, and seems incapable of putting on a bad match.

Nia Jax beat Alexa Bliss in a match that was a fine TV match. Unfortunately, there are very few believable scenarios in which Bliss can cause damage to Jax in a fair fight, and a competitive 10-minute match is probably not the way to go with those two. Postmatch, Nia cuts a horrible promo for Be A Star, which ends with the idea that all Bullies get their asses kicked in the end, which misses the point by several football fields.

Jeff Hardy beat Randy Orton with the Swanton Bomb. Orton didn't give a shit, and neither did the crowd.

Elias tried to sing a song, but was interrupted by New Day, Rusev Day, No Way Jose, and Bobby Roode, and took a DDT for his troubles.

Daniel Bryan tapped out Big Cass. This match didn't do much for either guy, Cass looked largely useless and Bryan didn't really feel like a big deal either.

Carmella beat Charlotte in a match that was probably 5 minutes too long. Carmella's really limited in the ring, and her offense consisted more or less of screaming at the crowd.

AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura went to a double-CO. The match was Perfectly Acceptable Wrestling, but the finish was aggressively bad. Ouch of the Night: (twitter.com) AJ catches a chair in the face.

Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley squished KO and Sami Zayn. The match was a whole lot of nothing, and no one cared about Lashley.

Roman Reigns beat Samoa Joe by overcoming the odds. Match was bad and they lost the crowd early on, once it became pretty obvious that Roman would prevail in the end. Joe's choice of spending most of the body of the match grabbing restholds on Roman was also highly questionable, and didn't help the flow of the match.

I went in with low expectations, but this show didn't live up to them. It was an exercise in spinning the wheels - nothing was advanced, and the match quality and crowd involvement cratered after the super hot opener. Plus it went way too long. Catch the opener, skip the rest.

Sounded like there was a good portion of the crowd that was booing Jax during this.

Crowd was quiet and didn't seem to care at all for the Carmella/Charlotte match. But at least they didn't chant "Boring" like they did during the Reigns/Samoa Joe match.

Very poor PPV.

I tuned in for Bayley/Ruby and Miz/Rollins then started watching something else. Sounds like I made a pretty good decision.

Looks like my post-WrestleMania/GRR break from the WWE Network is well timed.

While I’m sure it was mostly motivated by the finish, it’s hilarious how the WWE Title has to take a backseat for the B-story on Raw now.

Unless that’s the A-story on Raw. Yeesh.

I made it through the Daniel Bryan match and then I had to call it quits. I don't have any desire to go back and see the four matches I missed.

Daughter was excited because Bayley had a match of her own in the preshow. It wasn't a great match. IIconics were horribly annoying and perfect in the pre-show.

Seth-Miz was great. Incredible match. Seth is at the top of his game, but Miz... how are there still people that don't appreciate the Miz in 2018?

Raw womens title was okay, but the video package before didn't work for me. For those watching for the first time, the package should tell you what's going on. For those that didn't know Alexa's character, using her speech about Nia bullying her at Disney World and having accompanying pictures really seemed like Nia was a bully. The Be A Star speech was expected, but maybe the whole "bullies always get their ass kicked" thing at the end was the wrong note to end on.

I loved the Elias segment, mostly just because I love Elias, New Day, and Rusev Day and it was cool to see them all get the spotlight. And the crowd live seemed to dig it, which is a plus. I still don't like Bob Roode as smiley nice guy. It isn't him.

Big Cass is sooooooo boring. It's like if Test had a more boring clone. At the same time, having him give up in his first match back just makes him look weak.

No interest in the Roman match, but no shock that he won. Let me guess, now he earns a match against Brock at MITB, which he will lose somehow... and then will get a final match at Extreme Rules with some kind of stipulation that he finally wins (and then, with his luck, has the MITB winner cash in on him).
