You know, I almost wish that Jarrett HAD hit Sting with that thumbtack guitar, just to see the "Holy Shit" expression on his face when he realized the guitar was loaded. And are they really about to let Sting headline another PPV? I have a feeling this won't stick.

The rest of the PPV was forgettable. I wouldn't have expected the fans to turn on the electrified cage match, but there it was. And I realize that LAX is the future of tag team wrestling and all, but it was still nice to see Team 3D get the titles to add to their legacy. It's not like they'll have a long title reign anyway.

TNA really needs to drop the whole Lockdown PPV concept. I mean, it's a nice novelty idea and all, but the cage was merely atmosphere throughout the night with the exception of the opener, the main event, and the tag title match. I mean, is a cage necessary for a freakin BLINDFOLD MATCH?

I thought the main event was pretty great -- I yelled "OHHHH" out loud four times, I think, which is quite good considering that in TNA, main events are almost never the best match of the night. (The four times were: Scott Steiner hitting the FRANKENSTEINER on Rhino -- I thought I'd never see that again! -- Tomko getting GORED out the cage door and over the steps, AJ Styles getting tossed off the TOP of the CAGE, and Abyss getting hit in the head with a GUITAR FILLED WITH THUMBTACKS.)

The ending was great, and it was really interesting how, after JJ let Sting get the pin, the heretofore-suspicious Sting, Joe, and Rhino all shook JJ's hand, while Kurt Angle (who brought JJ into Team Angle in the first place) was all pissed and stalked away. Hmm!

There was some other good stuff -- the Xcape match had some cool stuff. Sabin and Shelley work REALLY well together as a team. Gail Kim vs. Jackie was better than anticipated, with Kim jumping off the cage and Jackie catching her with her face. Starr vs. Senshi was fine but ENOUGH with every other X-Div. match ending with a rollup! These guys have cool finishers -- let them show them off!

There was some disappointing stuff. Daniels vs. Lynn never really seemed to take off. Roode vs. Williams was dull.

3D vs. LAX was not too good. (Looks like LAX will go on to feud with...uh, Hector Guerrero?) The "electrified cage" stuff was cheesy -- the lights would flash on and off and there would be a BZZZZZZZT noise when someone touched the cage (prompting the crowd to chant "FIRE RUSSO"). After WSX, flashing the lights on and off just isn't going to cut it.

Oh, and Harris vs. Storm was awful. Like, TRAVESTY level bad, with their hoods inadvertently falling off all match. I think this match might have gotten "FIRE RUSSO" chants as well. Just -- ugh, dreadful.

Also that cage sucked. It was made out of cables instead of chain link, and it looked about as "dangerous" as a trapeze artist's safety net. It had insulators on it and stuff, so I thought maybe it was specially made for the Electrified Cage match -- not like the electricity would be "legit," but that maybe there were special effects rigged up that would be dangerous on a standard cage or something. I dunno. But since there apparently weren't, they really should've stuck with the standard cage. (Maybe they forgot to pack it.)

Fair-to-middling with a really good main event.

Did anyone bleed on the show? If the St. Louis no-blood ruling was still in effect, it's entirely possible that the cage was made so pussified to prvent any accidental colour. If that's the case, they probably should've considered other venues for an all-cage show.

Sting going over makes me antsy. I can't see him bating Christian for the belt, especially with the Daniels feud coming up for him. But given Meltzer's thinking - that Jarrett will get a title shot at the Nashville show in June - I just wish the slot had gone to someone more deserving.

Yeah, Devon bled a ton and Hernandez too, a little bit, I think. Also Rhino in the ME, as well as Christian taking a double chokeslam into thumbtacks, if that counts.

The event was actually outside of city/county limits, in St Charles. So, they'd be free to bleed if they wanted.

I thought this show was really good. The Xscape match was the best X Division match AND best tag match probably in over a year. Main event was great. Senshi and Starr was damn good except for the rollup. Those were really the three best matches either company has had so far this year.

The women did a decent job, they tried at least. I didn't think Roode/Williams was that bad. I think it's clear Roode and Petey have some chemistry because that was definitely better than a usual Roode match.

Upper mid card was definitely the weak point with Daniels, Lynn, 3D and LAX.

I´ve only watched the Main Event so far, so I won´t comment on the rest of the show.

I thought TNA finally delivered big time with that Lethal Lockdown match! There were tons of great moments* and little things that add to a match and make it special, plus some REALLY amazing stuff**! It was just put together very well and that´s a rare thing in TNA, because normally they try a little too hard to copy or top WWE and (in my eyes) normally fail, because it just seems unreal and/or forced (Like last year´s Lockdown, where they put a table and a ladder on top of the cage - I mean: C´mon!! It may look good, but it doesn´t make any sense at all!)!

Another point: I liked the fact, that this time they put all their Main Event talent in that match, so it really felt important! Unlike last year, where they pulled K-Kwik out of a hat! (I know he is a former champ, but ...)

All 10 man worked their asses off and it showed!

The first time ever I really liked a TNA Main Event gimmick match with more than 2 wrestlers involved!

* = great moments: Steiner´s Frankensteiner! Angle suplexing Tomko 5 times in a row! JJ landing in the tacks!Angle and AJ fighting on top of the cage! The guitar shot with extra tacks!

** = REALLY amazing stuff: The Gore trough the cage door! Christian Cage landing in the tacks! AJ´s homage to Mick Foley!
