A pretty solid 'special event' Impact this week, low on the interviews, high on action.

-Dixie Carter and crew continue to be fairly intolerable, but if the end card was any indication, we'll finally get to see her ass put through a table. If the rumors of TNA getting cancelled are true, she deserves a stiff one.

-Hardys vs Wolves was pretty solid, though I really have to wonder why they brought Matt Hardy back and reunited the Hardys just to have them lose.

-The three X-division matches were all pretty sweet, with Low Ki, Sanada and Samoa Joe all advancing to the 3-way X-Division title match next week.

-Lashley/Aries was a solid title shot that really had me wondering if Aries was going to pull it off. He got a better match out of Lashley than I thought he was going to be able to. No title changes on this show, unfortunately, so Lashley retains with his nasty-looking Spear.

Was kinda sad there wasn't a Knockouts match, all we got was the Beautiful People looking, well, beautiful and running down Taryn and Gail.

Besides for the talking segments was a great show. Four out of the five matches got good time and really delivered, the tag title match and the Main Event. No idea why Joe's back as a X divisioner but I did like the tease of Low Ki and Joe. Can't believe they gave away that Dixie was going through a table. Guess they hope for a big rating.

Something that occured to me, has anyone EVER said about the WWE "Man, that was some great wrestling, but I really wish we'd gotten to see a Divas match"? This is why the Knockouts are going to be one of the things I miss most about this fed if it goes belly-up. Kim/Taryn III would have been right at home on this show, especially if they let them go to a real finish and not a Sportz Entertainment one.

That and I like the X Division, as loose as the definition is of it. It's not a Cruiserweight/Light Heavyweight division obviously, because Joe and Homicide are both in there, along with the buff guy from the 2nd match whose name I forget. It's not a high-flying division because Joe rarely if ever flies.

Another great show this week.

Normally I am more into the storylines then the matches, but Hardyz/Wolves, and the 3 x-division matches all had me on the edge of my seat.

I was disappointed that they didn't bring up Option D again this week. Option D was the only thing that made Aries's 2nd cashing in of the X-belt feel worthwhile. Aries seems to have convinced himself that he was the one who cashed in the belt last year. If WWE buys TNA, and introduces the concept of their Five Year Sliding Timeline, then at least we will officially be able to retcon Chris Sabin out of existence.

Rycklon needs a Z in his name. The final wwECW champion will always be eZekial to me. Dixieland needs Abraham Washington too. Where was King Mo?

I was worried Matt would turn on Jeff. (Although, that would be tolerable if we got V1.0 Matt, or MATTHEW IN ALL CAPS. Not so much worthwhile if we got Immortal Matt.) Matt is looking good, reminds me of his V1.0 form. I miss Shannon. (And Crash, RIP.)

Zema Ion got his music back! Hurrah!

Manik v. Loki was like a battle between superman red and superman blue.

Storm and Sanada continue to be fun.

If TNA folds, I hope they payoff the Saving the Family Carnival Plotline before the end. Where were the zombie stiltwalkers this week?

Brian Cage in the X-Division. Seriously, Kurt? I question your matchmaking prowess there. At least Cage did a flippy move at one point.

Roode and Aries' bromance moment. OH MY GOD. NOT A FLUKE. High point of the show right there. Get Dirty Heels back in the tag division, pronto.

8-man hardcore match, eh. Bubba, D-Von, Dreamer, and... What with the return of cfgb's WCW recaps, it is very timely to ask - who is the Fourth Man?

Good history recap by Tenay regarding Homicide/Joe.

Abyss seems irked by Bram. Abyss seems to have also forgotten that this isn't the first time he got Janiced. MEM Crimson was so awesome.

I was surprised by the lack of MVP/King this week. Lashley is a champ we can be proud of.

It's looking like no Bound for Glory Series this year. Fine with me.

It'll be pretty sad that if this is the end that they finally go to more in ring action and less talk, which is the direction people have been begging TNA to go in. The Wolves vs The Hardys was the best TNA tag match since the heyday of a Bad a Influence when they were taking on Angle and Styles. For the first time in their TNA run the Wolves felt like a big deal. Matt looked really good and worked very hard. The X division matches with Low Ki and Joe were really good. No idea why a Joe is back in the X division and why him and a Angle are buddy buddy, but I'm looking forward to Joe Vs Low Ki in the next set of tapings. The talking segments were fine, but it's funny that Dixie was the first face we saw after she cost TNA their tv deal with Spike. World title match was excellent. Aries is so good as the plucky underdog that fights Underneight.Lashley is really good in his role as a silent destroyer. I liked the finish with Aries throwing caution to the wind and it costing him. Once again I'm happy that a heel went over clean. Lashley is being booked as a very strong champ unlike a Magnus, who was booked as a chump. All in all, excellent show. Next week doesn't look promising with the eight man ECW nostalgia match and Bram Vs Abyss in a garbage type match. Hey at least the three way X division match looks promising.
