As an Indiana Pacers fan, I can say that Larry Brown is a very good coach. But I can also attest to the fact that his reputation as a wanderer is well-deserved.

The Sixers are 22-21 right now. They're almost certainly going to be worse than they were last year. If they don't get very far in the playoffs, who here's willing to bet that ol' Suitcase Larry is going to fly the coop yet again?

You're right he does have a tendacy to wander around the NBA, not only will he probably leave if they don't do as good as last year, but they could also win every game the rest of the year, win the NBA championship, and he might still decide to up and leave.

I agree with the most part, but lets not forget a few things... First of all, how many games have the 6ers had their entire starting line up starting? probably around 10. Injuries to McKie, Snow, Iverson, and Coleman have really hurt them. Thats 3 of their starters and their 6th man.

Obviously they are not the defensive nightmare they were last season with losing Lynch, Hill and Ratliff; however, I believe that they will improve there this season if they can all stay healthy.

So don't blame Brown yet. In March if the 6ers are not in the top 4 in the east, then blame Brown (again, only if the starters are healthy).

Also, Brown is notorious for taking crappy teams and making them playoff contenders. He is not known for finishing the job.

6ers should get Van Gundy!

Oh, I don't blame Brown for the Sixers being less than successful this year. I'm simply pointing out that when his teams start to slide like that, he has a tendency to up and leave.

And Quez, I agree with you to a point. If Larry were to end up leading the Sixers to the NBA Championship this year, I don't think he'd leave immediately. He'd wait until the following season, and if they had a bad year that season, then he'd up and leave. Seems like he's willing to take all the credit he can get for teams' success, while accepting none of the blame.
