I have a W question of no importance, but didn’t this site used to save old avatars? Like if I went to one of my terrible posts in 2010 I thought it used to have the avatar of the time now it’s the current one through the way through.

Yes, but we may have had to swap out post pics if your 2010 pic link is now dead and causing us a long timeout loading pages with your posts in 'em. (I can't recall if we ever did that specifically with you but it shouldn't come as a surprise that a lot of hotlinks from days gone by don't work in 2018.)
