That alone is good enough, but we get Jericho/AJ/Owens in a MOTYC where AJ wins the US title back. We also get Nakamura beating Corbin clean. Even the women's match had Lana/Tamina breaking up while Fire and Ice roll into SummerSlam without a match?!
The Usos beat down New Day. Yet, best of all is Daniel Bryan stopping the most eye rolling thing in the WWE since 2006, the John Cena putting himself in a title match without doing anything. Instead of John just facing Jinder at SummerSlam, he has to face Nakamura. Naka fucking mura! On free TV. It is a notch below giving away Goldberg/Hogan away for free.
Let me say sorry to my friend Vik for paying to go to Battleground on Sunday. This show was a thousand times better than the PPV. It was on point and the crowd was into all of it. Plus next week might actually be the greatest Smackdown night of all time. We get Owens vs. AJ for the US title and Cena/Nakamura. Jesus that is WrestleMania quality. The sad part of all of this, is all the matches leading to SummerSlam are going to better than the SummerSlam matches due to the WWE putting the belt on people who not that over to help them. From Alexa to Naomi to Jinder to even Sheamus/Cesaro. Plus, the two MITB winners are even blander than those guys. The WWE needs a bit of a reboot after SummerSlam with putting the belts on people who are over and yeah can show up every week. | Promote this thread! |             | Quezzy

Nakamura was probably done after they had him never successfully defend the belt and lose to Joe and Roode so much even the Full Sail Mutants stopped popping.
Bringing him to the main roster and not feeding anyone to him for a sub 3 minute KO didn't help.
I'd love to be proven wrong, but I was told to be optimistic about Kevin Owens and not only did he never get his Universal Title rematch, he's doomed to 50/50 booking with secondary titles until the end of time.
P.S. WWE please prove me wrong. Don't make Owens and Nakaumra the wacky tag team champions who can't get along by this time next year. Also, don't do that with Nakamura/Corbin. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
