Personally, I like the trade for OKC. Promote this thread! | | texasranger9

No, he's on a multiyear deal that pays more than George is currently making.
Yes that's right, OKC actually acquired Paul George and *saved money*. | ekedolphin

Well, for one year, anyway. Then they've gotta give him a max deal (which he deserves) to have even a chance of keeping him. I still can't understand why he wants to go to the Lakers, though. If he's really chasing a ring, he's going in the wrong direction. | El Nastio

If George decides to go to the Lakers, then OKC will have cap room to sign someone else. There's literally no risk involved with this trade. They save money, upgrade the roster, and if things fall apart they can rebuild quickly.
As for why the Lakers, George is from LA. The prospects of bringing his hometown team back to prominence probably plays a large role with things.
There was a guy at the shop I play Yugioh at who was saying George was better than Durant, which it would take following the NBA for thirty seconds to know Durant is at the very least the second best player in the league. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
