Sigh...Well we get the Women's MITB match again with the same ending again that is a bit less offensive, maybe. The match was sorta good with a lot of the women looking for safe places to land instead of going full force. Which is fine, but it showed a bit too much. The biggest problem is Smackdown is a place where the world title belts and MITB contracts are put on people who maybe over...maybe. Owens being the only title holder that is an all around wrestler. Everyone else is either good on the mic, has a look or might be good. I remember when this company put the belt on the most over person in the company instead of some of these vanity projects.

Other than that Sami/Corbin was a good match. The Usos also fit in that not over, but have the belts for some reason. Its a good thing, because we get a rap battle between them and New Day next week. Can't wait. Fashion Police are still the best thing on the show.

I enjoyed MITB. Carmella is the right choice, assuming we don't have a third MITB next week since there was still Ellsworth action.

Fashion Police is the best thing on any of the shows. Besides giving Breeze & Dango attention, it does something a lot of the Attitude era skits did... it gives character to others. For the first time ever, I paid attention to Ascension. And they were funny. I like them marginally more now.

They are quite well-written skits.

"I guess we were both good cops"
"Good cop? I was a great cop."

The Acension slyly taking the Eddie Money tickets was great stuff.

Smackdown is so much better than Raw right now.
I do feel a bit confused on what Daniel Bryan does vs. what Shane McMahon does. Would be simpler with one authority figure.

Anyone else thrown a bit by Randy Orton calling an upcoming show a "performance"? I don't think you would have heard that back in the day.

I have no problem with Jinder Mahal being where he is. He plays the Heel Champ role nicely.

Neither Money in the Bank match was that great, the first one was a little better actually but the end result worked so I'd call this a success.

Carmella got a reaction to start the show, people actually cared that she was out there. Carmella vs Bryan to start the show was well done, she more than held her own on the mic. As for the match Ellsworth got his, but in the end Carmella and her dastardly ways retained or obtained the briefcase to the exact reaction you want a heel to get.

The reaction to her winning the title in nefarious ways should really set people off leading to a Becky win at SS and a glorious celebration.

The story here has been really well done.

Something picked up by Stroud over at Uproxx was Konnor's weakness for cheese, stemming from his days in NXT as a "rat man". Some solid attention to detail there by whomever writes the Fashion Files.

I feel like RAW is a bit on an upswing (although I like Smackdown more), it's the three hours which is just killing RAW right now. Meanwhile, Smackdown can't find time for guys like the Perfect 10.

That has to be the recorded for longest female matches to main event RAW and SmackDown combined. If the ratings decline will they hold that against both divisions?

And the main event of NXT tonight... the women. Definitely the first time all three shows have ended with womens matches.

Having Big E playing with the Botchamania/Harlem Heat promo was amusing while talking to the Usos.

MITB was alright but ruined by Charlotte turning the ladder with Tamina wriggling around so they were on the right camera angle. Is that really important? There are loads of cameramen (and women if I'm being sexist) that can show it with someone (Dunn?) having the right shot shown at the right time. Carmella winning made sense, but surely they have to have a dispute about it next week as Elsworth came back after being banned from the arena. Bryan must like the cheers each week but would rather be at home with his baby. Especially where it doesn't really make sense or advance anything. As a father I would be pissed having to do it every week.

On that point, why even bother having AJ, Owens and Nakamura on the show? Didn't add anything but they had to because they were there. If it was you having to travel probably thousands of miles for a meaningless segment seem worthwhile? They probably had a few minutes in a dark match, but really? If there is nothing worthwhile then don't do it. Maybe that is just me as a Dad talking.

And Sami has so much potential to be super over/next Bryan so just go with it.

So Carmella is MitB winner. Cool. But who is the #1 Contender now? Lana has been dispatched, surely Carmella isn't going straight into a title match since that would defeat the purpose of the briefcase. They can always just give Becky or Charlotte a title shot but that seems weird after they both just failed to get a title shot in the MitB match. They've kind of booked themselves into a position where it doesn't make sense to give anybody a title shot (other than Carmella cashing in) and that's why you don't do a 5 person MitB match with a 7-person division.

The week after GLOW premiered (to rave reviews) on Netflix...coincidence?

All three matches were very good and VERY different gimmick matches. If you haven't seen that Asuka-Cross match from NXT last night, you really should.

Can we talk Talking Smack? Because it was amazing. I think Daniel Bryan is half of it, but him interacting with Kevin Owens and then busting out rap skills with the Usos... man. Easy, breezy TV.

Can Kevin Owens please be on every week??? He just crushes it on there.

His dislike for Renee Young had me howling.
