Another Heel-O-Mania PPV happened. It feels like PPVs are done more to get the bad guys over then it is to end storylines. All the heels hold the belts on Raw at least the ones that get defended. Bayley looked like a jobber to the 80lbs soaking wet Alexa Bliss. The Miz had his wife DQ him, so he can win the IC title. We had a decent cage match that had a Russo style finish that saw Sheamus and Cesaro get the tag titles. Neville retains even though there is no real face challenger after Austin. Finally, Joe wins at a PPV. Honestly, Joe winning to face Brock makes me happy however I would be shocked if he actually faces Brock. If he does, it should be an insane battle and not some technical masterpiece, fuck that. That is the only way to book that match without stumbling over themselves.

For the all the WTF endings. I hate the women's one. Alexa is not ready as we saw on Monday with her 20 minute promo of death. I understand backstage she is ok, but she is not ok with me. It feels like someone's little sister is holding the belt. We could have had a really nice Bayley/Sasha match at SummerSlam with some twist and turns. We may get it, but Bayley in this feud with Alexa has been damaged. Possibly beyond repair. Sasha/Alexa is the next reasonable option unless they go with Nia/Alexa which then God help us all.

I hate the Miz. I hate the fact the IWC has been in love with him since his wife magically returned when his career was stale as fuck. I find most of his matches boring and for a guy who has been there for ten years, I almost forget he exists at times. I hate his HHH shoot promos. He is border lining Steph on not getting shit for a heel. Speaking of Steph, after last week's disastrous rating, I fully expect her to be back tonight. I would say it would ruin Kurt, but he has looked like a buffoon as a GM when he should be the one GM one should really try. I don't see much hoping for Raw tonight minus Joe/Brock. However, I won't be seeing much as my Pens get a win in Nashville. So, good luck to those who decide to watch.

This was the old sandwich PPV good prescient match and IC match, a bunch of nothing in the middle and a strong finish.

Joe vs Brock will be a solid brawl that will feel bigger than it actually is. He perfect stop gap main event that. Hanged things up at the top for a bit.

Bayley getting steam rolled is problematic, but so was the logic in the cage match, but I liked this PPV enough to give it a soft thumbs up.

Couldn't disagree more about Bliss. Sure the RAW segment was awful, but that's more the writer's fault than hers. You know who else had a a bad promo due to terrible material being given? Literally every wrestler ever. She does excellent character work, cuts great promos, knows how to work the crowd. Plus, she's improving in the ring every time. Meanwhile, Bayley has been undercut by the writers not understanding what made her NXT character work, and that she's not as strong on the mic.

Then again on that last point, maybe there's some characters that just don't translate from NXT to the audience. Contrast that with Sampson's gimmick which appears to be clicking (in a good, heel way).

Miz was on fire on SDL, co-MVP with Styles, then proceeded to get lost in the shuffle (literally). Now armed with the IC title, I expect him to pick up where he left off there.

Cedric will dethrone the King of the Cruiserweights (if they were smart), at Summerslam.`

Basically, I disagree with you on everything. Except for Joe winning (GREAT NEWS) and that Joe vs Lesnar should just be two tough mofos going at it.

And to clarify, Miz did NOT win the title by having his wife get Ambrose DQ'd. He tried that, only to have the ref toss Maryse. He then shoved Dean into the ref to try to force a DQ but hit the Skull Crushing Finale for a pinfall victory as Dean pleaded with the ref not to end the match.

Surprised they let Neville retain. Wondering what they'll do with Aries, now.

Cedric has a chance to challenge, but he needs to really light up the world in his recent comeback. His stuff with Alicia Fox kinda' killed the momentum he had coming out of the CWC.

Aside from Cedric, I get the sense that Akira Tozawa could be the SummerSlam CW challenger.

Huh. The version I watched ended when Ambrose was arguing with the ref and The Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale for a pinfall.

Bliss is great. Her character works. The match however was crap. I expected at least one big comeback for Bayley but nope.
Aries-Neville was a great match. And Neville is such an ass right now, anyone can be made into a credible challenger.
Interested to see what Aries does next. I always think he's a better heel but I dunno if that's where they want to go now.

Miz as IC champion is great. Dean did shit with it and Miz HAS been on fire since Maryse is back, but he was great ever since he got his teeth knocked out by AJ.

The tag match was very solid and actually made sense.
Hell, we were joking around about that match in 2000/01 where Jeff left the cage and Matt got killed. So ofcourse he does it again.
Loved that hte commentators pointed it all out. Including a wtf-stip that if you climb back in you gotta escape again.
Doesn't make sense but more than "you can just go back and run interference

Swann/Sasha was simple fun.
And holy fuuuuuck I was hoping Joe would win but didn't expect it. But he did. Hoooooly crap that was awesome.
It was a great solid brawl too. Loved the team of Bray & Joe and how they knew they'd blow up at some point.

The Dean-Miz match was great until the end. The slap worked. The referee playing drama king for a minute of our time before the end hit was stupid.

I don't understand how they are screwing Bayley up. Easiest character to have! The thrill is in the chase with her, but you also can't build her up to be a dummy that goes for a kendo stick when the bad guy tells you to do it. Between Sasha and Bayley, who could easily be A & B on top of either roster, I don't understand how they are screwing this up so badly.

The tag match was fun.

Drifter deserves all the cheers for being awesome.

The cruiserweight title match was fun, as was the mixed tag though yes, Sasha deserves better.

Joe willing was the right call. I enjoyed him and Bray teaming together.

How does Alexa look hotter with a kendo stick? I don't know why but since she first brought it out that's all I think about regards to her.

I though Sasha could dance better. Maybe Swann was bringing her down.

The last time the Hardyz lost the tag titles due to Jeff's spot monkey nature didn't Matt get broken up about it? I guess they want a potential rehash just in case they win the lawsuit.

Maybe the way in which Alexa won wasn't the best booking but I don't understand the people that want Bayley booked over Alexa. Alexa probably wasn't expected to do a whole lot on the main roster and is now their best character. She's passed with flying colors. Bayley was supposed to be a big star and has bombed. Has she had bad material, sure? But she has the same writers as everyone else. She has the same writers as Bliss but Bliss is great. She has the same writers as Charlotte, Becky, etc. She has the same writers as all the poorly written male faces like Roman, Seth, Dean, Sami and so on. They at least do the best they can and perform. But Bayley has been a bad wrestler and bad promo since she got called up. At some point you have to stop putting all the blame on the writers and admit she just hasn't been any good for 9 months now. If you're the WWE pushing the overachieving, unexpected wrestler over the underachieving supposed-to-be-star that's bombing is an obvious decision.

How can you say Alexa didn't bomb in that promo last week? Now, we have to sit through Nia/Alexa which is going to be dog shit. Bayley hasn't bombed. She had one of the best matches at Mania and gets pops all the time. Frankly, she carried Alexa to one of her best matches last week. Its just typical IWC fanboy of loving the female heel and giving her a pass at every opportunity, because she looks hot.

Anyone would have bombed the promo last week because the material was terrible. Man or woman, it wouldn't matter because the writers simply did a terrible job. Go ahead, find me one man or woman on the roster outside of MAYBE Heyman who would have made that promo work.

Bayley got booed Sunday night, FYI.

I don't base my opinions on female wrestlers on how they look, I base my opinions on how they are in the ring, how they carry themselves on the mic, how they work the crowd, the character work, and if they've put in the effort to improve their craft. Bliss has done all of that, which is why I'm a fan.

Alexa did bomb in the promo last week, but anyone outside of Rock or maybe Jericho would probably have bombed at that promo.

Alexa has done a great job since coming to the roster, no doubt. She's also been written well to fit her character.

My Bayley problem is the way she's been built up. The fanbase is there. Yes, there were boos. Alexa is going to appeal to the loud older male audience over Bayley typically because, well, look at her and also because she's the cool heel.

The thrill of Bayley is the chase and overcoming the odds. Her NXT run, at least until she got the title and Sasha teleported to the main roster, was perfect. Everybody doubted her, she couldn't get the job done, everybody doubted her again, and she came back and beat everybody who had beat her before. On Raw she got a random title win way earlier than she should have and went into WrestleMania as champ. While I'm not ocmplaining about Bayley winning, it was the wrong direction. She got the title way too early and definitely shouldn't be the one going into the biggest show of the year as the defending champ.

Bayley is best when battling the mean girls, so maybe this IS going somewhere with Alexa, who is head mean girl while Sasha is for some reason being a dull face version of herself.

I thought on the whole, the wrestling on the show was good. But the stipulations created situations in many of the matches where I was too busy poking holes in the rules to actually care all that much about the action going on. Maybe it's not something a lot of people think of so WWE doesn't feel the need to explain much of it. But it tended to take me out of the moments.

Why the "this is your life" segment fell flat was Bayley wasn't there. The Rock Mankind worked because they both were out there to play off each other. Bayley should of been out there in the Mankind role of happy go lucky and not getting the insults. Like Jeff from American Dad.
