I'm pretty sure with Sting and Ultimate Warrior they knew ahead of time. I think those are the most notable examples of the upcoming Hall Of Famers being in the game.
The DLCs have now been announced too.
Future Stars Pack - Austin Aries, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Mojo Rawley, Tye Dillinger.
Legends Pack - Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Eddie Guerrero, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Sycho Sid, Tatanka
There's also a Hall of Fame Showcase DLC that allows you to wrestle matches as The Fabulous Freebirds, Ivory, Jacqueline, Papa Shango and the Godfather. I don't remember from last year's games if those are also characters you get, or if you can just play the matches.

- Mostly the same game as ever, as ever.
- For something that's mostly a rerun, how is this game so buggy?! Amazingly glitchy, and that's after an 11GB day-one patch. Bring on more.
- $40 (CDN) for the season pass?! I have store credit and may still wait until there's a sale.
- Slower-paced than past games, which is neither good nor bad.
- There's a new mini-game for unhooking the briefcase in a ladder match. A nice touch. Presumably Jack Swagger is very bad at it.
- The game was a gift from my dad and stupid Amazon never sent him the pre-order code for Goldberg. This sounds like a common issue. I won't likely make him pester them for it.
- No story mode this year. Disappointing but I'd only ever play through it once anyway.
- The new system for unlockables is good. Play any mode you want, any way you want. Get credits. Use them to unlock whatever you want. Belts, arenas, wrestlers, you pick.
- First downloaded CAWS: Doink, Rhyno, James Ellsworth. Didn't get Harambe yet but there's one there near the top of the Most Downloaded list. |
