| #1 Posted on 17.1.02 0111.40 Reposted on: 17.1.09 0150.58 | Yes today was truly a great day in basketball. Bama defeated Georgia to give the Bulldogs their first loss of the season so with a win over LSU my Gators move into first and increases it's winning streak to 14 games (and 11 straight against the SEC).
Meanwhile, the Lakers fall to the Heat (wow) and my Kings defeat the Nuggets to move into first place in the entire NBA and stretch their winning streak to 10 games. Also the Lakers actually dropped to third behind the Kings and TWolves (and even if the TWolves had a worse record they would still get the number 2 spot since the winners of the divisons automatically get the 1 and 2 spot.)
So together my college and pro teams have won their last 24 games. Sacramento is first in the NBA and Florida is No. 2 in the nation.
Florida has no chance of moving into number one this week though since the winner of # 1 Duke vs. # 3 Maryland will no doubt be number. Guess I can't have it all. Promote this thread! | | ekedolphin

I take it back. The Lakers aren't a great team without Shaq. They're a very good team without Shaq, but without him, they're clearly not playing like the two-time defending NBA Champions.
I say we have CRZ sign a contract with the Lakers, only to knock Shaq unconscious with a chair in the locker room during Game 7 of a playoff series against the Kings.
Wait, wrong sport, again.

They're a fun team to watch and handed my Dores their asses over the weekend. Good luck the rest of the way, except for the VU showdown in Gainsville on Feb.9. We're 1-0 in the last...um...1 game we've played in Gainsville. Now that is a hell of a streak!
Oh yeah, am I the only one getting quite the chuckles over UT's recent last second woes?

Even though a loss to Vanderbilt may not have looked too good on our record I wouldn't mind losing to them that much cause I don't hat them like the Kentuckys, Auburns, Tennessees and Georgias (i don't mind Bama either). Kentucky's been struggling lately, it's possible that Florida could win out the rest of their games, oh, except for that showdown with Vanderbilt in Gainesville, hehe.
If Florida's football team struggles because the loss of Steve Spurrier then maybe Florida becomes a basketball school, with Billy Donovan the new Steve Spurrier. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
