Ah, bit of fun is all. If you can't on occasion spew forth bile and vitriol on the Internet, where can you?
From the moment the almighty Shapiro posted this http://the-w.com/rumored-wrestlemania-card-rumors-cena-orton-to-headline-wrestlemania we were always going to the belt on a "reluctant" HHH. Probably should have posted that at the time, but so much lazy. She is my mistress.
Remember back when they were doing a thing with Edge and pretty much set up a surprise Christian return? But then changed it to Matt Hardy even though it made no sense because everyone had figured it out and the E wanted to be unpredictable and swerve. I wonder where that writer works now?

I guess it helps that my friend Mark doesn't watch too much any more.
After 16+ years of unending HHH, a lot of Marks don't watch too much anymore.

And that is two former World Heavyweight Champions!
Actually, looking at the list of entrants, and going by WWE reigns only, former WWE/WWE World/World/ECW champions in the match: Chris Jericho Kane Big Show Brock Miz Ziggler Sheamus HHH
Seems like they should have made a bigger deal about ten former world champions gunning for Roman's belt (or 9, since we weren't supposed to know about HHH though everyone saw it coming).
In fact, the only guys in the match without a WWE belt of some kind in their past (not counting NXT): Styles Breeze Neville Strowman Sami Rowan Wyatt
If you throw in NXT gold, that brings the list down to Styles, Breeze, Strowman, and Wyatt. So we have a match with 26 of the 30 competitors who have held WWE gold, gunning for the big belt. Seems like it should be a big deal, right?
They could have gone even bigger, saying you had to have held a title in the WWE to be in the match, which I guess would swap out the four with no title reign for any combo of Big E, Xavier, Ryder, Slater, Dallas, Sandow, Young, Diego, Usos, Kalisto, Ascension, or Barrett just from the active roster. The Wyatts could still attack Brock and eliminate him, since people can come and go as they please anyway.
Actually there are only a few on the active roster NOT with at least some kind of WWE/NXT reign, and most of them are Wyatts. | Mr Shh

What part timers/legends could they use? Flair, HBK, Nash, Rock, Batista, Christian? I know it's possible but is it viable to do an ex-WWe/WHC Champ Rumble?

While several of the group would have to be written out for health or injury-related reasons, you could've feasibly had a 30-man Rumble of all former champions. Even a couple of the older guys would've technically appeared, if only to 'fight' for a minute and then take a gentle and heavily-assisted bump over the top rope. Imagine how crazy it would've been to somehow see Bruno Sammartino in a Royal Rumble in 2016. | ekedolphin

| #51 Posted on 27.1.16 0915.59 Reposted on: 27.1.23 0916.24 | If you go just straight WCW World Heavyweight Championship, you have Flair, Luger, Sting, Vader, Simmons, Hogan, Giant, Goldberg, Nash, DDP, Bret, Sid, Jarrett, Arquette, Booker, Russo, Scott Steiner, Angle, Rock, and Jericho. The only two dead are Savage and Benoit.
Hogan, Jarrett, Steiner, Russo and Angle are probably definite no-nos right now. That leaves 15. I am thinking Luger and Hart are too risky health-wise. Arquette probably wouldn't happen. Sting is on the shelf from the Rollins injury.
We know Rock, Giant/Show and Jericho are in fighting shape, and the rest would likely be in decent enough shape for a 30 man match. So let's say 12.
Of course with WWE/World title overlap, that rules out Flair, Hogan, Giant, Goldberg, Nash, Bret, Sid, Booker, Angle, Rock, and Jericho.
If you go back farther with the NWA lineage there's more, of course. If you quit looking at the NWA title heritage when Douglas wins it and trashes it in ECW, you add Barry Windham, Great Muta, Masa Chono, Tatsumi Fujinami, Ricky Steamboat, Ron Garvin, Harley Race, Carlos Colon, Tommy Rich, Terry Funk, and Dory Funk Jr. as living possibilities, though retirements and age would rule a good bit of those out. | CRZ
