| #1 Posted on 29.12.15 0733.56 Reposted on: 29.12.22 0733.56 | Due to the holidays, no one really seem to care about this Raw including most of the roster who were elsewhere. Vince comes out to get arrested thanks to Steph in a weird way. Steph continues to be the untouchable heel that everyone takes a bullet for. Steph getting arrested and never seen again would have been better. Yet, Vince goes to jail and in typical White Privilege gets out in time to announce he will guest referee next week's World Title Match.
Cena returns to get a win, granted its DQ, but still a win. Cena is now involved in the whole League of Nations storyline. Owens lost very quickly, perhaps too quickly to Neville. Owens loses it and Ambrose makes the save only to be bothered by Owens all night.
Sasha and Becky do their best to this shitty NY crowd. I do love Sasha cheating to win to keep Becky who has been a jobber to the stars since she got here. Speaking of here, this crowd sucked for this match. "Boring" New York, really? Your lame ass put fans to sleep Jets are only getting into the playoffs due to coin toss misstep and the Steelers fucking up against a Ravens team that I was asked to play on. Also fire Coughlin, already. So, fuck you!
Honestly, that last paragraph was just a hate rant from me. Anyway, Ryder and Heath cameo to set up the Rumble. Big Show is also there to remind people he will eliminate people you like.
I like what they are doing with Reigns since it feels like Attitude Era booking. However, Reigns is not Austin or Rock, as the late Johnny O pointed out on twitter, the cops got all the face heat that Reigns at the beginning. Reigns is getting over which is good, but there will be the eventual match with Lesnar where the fans will turn on him. The best bet for him is for Brock to turn on Vince and face someone like Owens or Sheamus at the Rumble til they figure out who is in and out for Mania. Rock coming back which is good. Yes, yes, it is. Stop being that guy. Rock is one of the biggest names in Hollywood and is always fun when he is there. Just don't let him have the mic with HHH and Steph or we are never getting out there. Promote this thread! | | JimBob Skeeter

| #4 Posted on 29.12.15 1000.12 Reposted on: 29.12.22 1000.12 | It's a problem when your biggest heel faction gets a "Boring" chant and the wave, right?
And the cop who arrested Vince and stood up to Stephanie was the biggest face. That's also a problem, right?
Honestly, and I know this will NEVER happen, but considering the relationship he has with HHH, if I was fantasy booking, I would give a blank check to Floyd Mayweather and stick the championship on him.
We know he's a fan and can at least work a match (he's a good enough athlete to train and get better). He will get mainstream media attention and everyone will want to tune in and watch him lose. He will actually get a real heel reaction (I can't seen anyone cheering for him) and he knows how to rile up a crowd. Yeah, he has a dark cloud on him with the domestic abuse stuff, but clearly the WWE doesn't have a problem with that, what with their association with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Just have him work the 3 major PPVs for a year and the occasional RAW. He can then drop the title to whatever face they deign worthy.
Once again, I know this will never happen, but man, they need a strong heel, and not the Seth Rollins "Heel" where everyone loves him and no one REALLY wants to see him lose. | CRZ

Say, you don't think they actually put the belt back on Sheamus next week, do you? ...but what if it popped a rating? Apparently that's very important this month. | whatever

I haven't seen the Sasha-Becky match and don't know if it actually was BORING (I have doubt), but what a way to kill things. They give two of their better divas a 16 minute match and you chant boring. Let's see how much time the divas get from now on.

I haven't seen it either. (I think the reason everything is so dead here is most of us have convinced not to see these things, usually by these things itself.) But...if the match is boring, aren't they allowed to chant boring?
WWE's presenting this as an advocacy - "you should support these women, because aren't they great!" My experience has been that most women are indeed great, but that's not why these women were actually cheered in the first place. They were cheered because they were having great matches. Being women and having great matches was notable because it was different, but the great matches part had to happen first.
But again, I didn't see it! Maybe they did have a great match and the crowd wasn't fair to them, but
I can just imagine Vince backstage saying "See, I told you...I told you."
You wouldn't be alone thinking this, that's there generally a lot of political stuff and agendas in all of this, and that they were set up to fail. And maybe there's some truth this. I'm not sure how many healthy people there are on the WWE roster right now who could work a 15 minute singles TV match without the crowd chanting mean things during it - especially when it's a long match like that with no real big feud and nothing at stake. They've been taught that only matches with important people go that long, and segments with unimportant people are supposed to be short and go away. If you're a WWE watcher who's not an NXT fan, then the women generally appear to be important people.
shorter version: I'm thinking a 15 minute Tyler Breeze/Neville match could be great, but the crowd would boo it too because they know "those people don't count."
Yea, they could use the segment to give up on these women, but that's not much of a leap. They're either not trying very hard or trying in wrong directions. The whole thing needs to get blown up, which seems to have little chance in anyway, but maybe a better chance if the fans point out how much it's not working. | Chumpstain

| #11 Posted on 30.12.15 0058.10 Reposted on: 30.12.22 0058.10 | The Becky/Sasha match wasn't up to the level of their Takeover match, but in some ways they were indeed set up to fail. The show opened with the lengthy McMahon/Reigns segment, which already disinterested the crowd and led to CM Punk chants. They followed that up with the Owens/Neville match, and Owens was getting huge chants when the segment started, but then that match was over in thirty seconds. Now, the beatdown helped redeem it and by the time the show was done, Owens was certainly in a good place, but at the time the crowd had wanted to see Owens/Neville and had that taken away from them.
Some of the backlash for Becky/Sasha following that was surely related to those first two segments and how they played out. The crowd was frustrated, and they took it out on the only thing they could. | Lexus

Nah. New Day is awesome and all, but they're a comedy act. Gotta drop the comedy to go for the big gold belt. They win their matches because there's three of them. That's what makes them so special.
No doubt they'll still steal the show at Mania. Probably the Rumble, too, since this opens up new Kofi non-elimination spots. | andy1278
