| #1 Posted on 8.12.15 0517.17 Reposted on: 8.12.22 0518.01 | I remember an episode of WCW Thunder where there was a hyped main event of Kevin Nash vs Raven. Me, being a huge Raven fan could not wait to see my favorite wrestler squaring off against the likes of someone at the top of the card like Kevin Nash. World's were colliding. They hyped the match the entire show and we got entrances, then a stare down and finally The Flock ran in and got squashed by Nash as Raven headed for the hills. It was then I realized that Thunder was a crock of shit and I was a dummy for watching it.
Tonight's main event match was Tommy Dreamer vs Braun Strowman. They then sent out Roman Reigns and Sheamus to do a main event face off. They sent them out there to die a slow death twisting in the wind. They both knew that they were dying out there going back and forth over the same points for what seemed like forever looking for a lifeline that never came. In the end there were only tater tots. Fuck this show.

| #2 Posted on 8.12.15 0726.52 Reposted on: 8.12.22 0729.01 | It stared off well with the chaos at the beginning and then bottomed out. New Day/Team Bad has been hanging out on twitter for months now, so it makes sense they acknowledge it on TV. I can't wait for the gifs of Sasha wearing the Unicorn Horns. I am still not sure what the point of Paige/Charlotte if neither wants to be the face. I thought this should be the ladder match while the Tag Match should be an elimination match or just on the pre-show.
Reigns and Sheamus need to go to Vince today and just tell him, they will take it from here. Tear up his notes in front of his face and just walk out of the office. This over-scripted show is murdering them. No match with the Wyatts and ECW should end with a clear winner. That should be the TLC match and Sheamus/Reigns should be on the pre-show. | Matt Tracker

But I really really REALLY wish they instead repackaged some midcard guys to give them these slots against the Wyatts. Slap 'em in camo, give 'em some glasses. Damien Dudley. Curtis Dudley. Truth Dudley. The World's Strongest Dudley. Heath Dudley. That's my preference.
Ziggler and Owens should get 20 minutes every RAW, against themselves or others. There's still a chance the LON can go NWO and induct a new member or two next week, either at the PPV or on RAW. Owens has a belt, he's a heel, and he's from a distant shore. Why wouldn't he be on that team? Because the other guys don't trust him? Well, let's play that card and help both parties. | InVerse

I didn't watch Raw (haven't for years, in fact) but I did watch the Up Up Down Down live stream for an hour prior to the show. They were playing Windjammers.
As usual, Woods & Kofi were on hand. Renee Young made her UUDD debut as the live stream kicked off. Mikaze played for a bit. (For those that don't know, he was an NXT wrestler who got a serious concussion when Aiden English kicked him in the head in his first match. He's since become the head costume maker for WWE. Oh, and he's engaged to Sasha Banks.)
JoJo made her return to the show. Some ref I didn't recognize showed up but was quickly ushered out. Damien Sandow made his 37th cameo, then ended up as a featured player as he faced off against R-Truth, who was making his UUDD debut. Truth must have played the game back in the day because he destroyed Sandow. Kofi then stepped up and barelys squeaked out a victory over Truth, but Truth immediately took his win back.
At this point, they point out that everyone on the show has a nickname and Truth needs to pick one. Creed suggests Jimmy's Daddy, which leads into a discussion of the parentage of Little Jimmy. According to Truth, Jimmy is an orphan and he was just taking care of him. "Oh, so you're Jimmy's butler? Like he's Batman and you're Alfred? You took care of him?" Truth then explained that Jimmy took care of him, but I couldn't understand the response when they asked him what Jimmy did for a living. Truth then won the rubber match with a controversial assist from Austin Creed.
Tom Phillips, who hosts a retro segment on the show appears, then JBL makes an audio only cameo, shouting "THIS IS WHAT'S WRONG WITH OUR INDUSTRY TODAY, YOU GUYS ARE SITTING IN HERE PLAYING VIDEO GAMES INSTEAD OF OUT THERE BEING UNICORNS!"
Big E is in next to make fun of "Uncle Tom", then Becky Lynch makes her UUDD debut. Becky sits down to play shortly thereafter and immediately breaks the rule about cursing on live WWE programming with an "Oh shit!" as she gets scored on, then Woods points out the multiple "No Cursing" signs around the room. Becky complains that there's no Irish character, Mikaze counters with the fact that there's no Cambodian choice either. Becky sucks at the game.
JoJo returns to the stream and Becky announces that she's now German and proceeds to talk in a German accent for the rest of her time on the show. Somehow this leads to Mikaze adopting a California surfer accent, which leads to Woods' mentioning he recently picked up a copy of California Games, which pops me since I'm a former world record holder in that game.
Tyler Breeze (Woods' former roommate) returns to the show at this point and takes over for Herr Lynch. Then an argument about whether Wolverine or Cyclops was better. A surprising number of WWE Superstars prefer Cyclops over Wolverine. This is followed by a discussion of Big E's Toilet Ham, which I'm not going to expound on.
Breeze and Mikaze have been playing for awhile when everyone seems to forget they're live streaming and everyone just sort of wanders off, leaving an empty room. Woods realizes this and runs back in with Breeze and they sit down to play. Woods has a slight advantage and suddenly a foot smashes into Breeze's head, sending him flying out of his chair as Dolph Ziggler walks into camera view. Woods starts freaking out and screaming "Oh! Oh my god! That's it, that's the end, stream's over!" and turns off the camera for a much more exciting ending than Raw. | Hokienautic

If they continue to do this kind of stream, I'd definitely be down for it. Most of the videos are short and more focused, so not a lot to recap (aside from the Superstar Savepoint series where wrestlers talk about their childhood)
Originally posted by Stefonics Herr is the male honorific. She would be Frau Lynch, but I like where you were going.
I also confused Tom Phillips with Kyle Edwards. Edwards is the one who hosts the retro stream. (He did Doom & Doom II today.) It remains to be seen which one is Todd Pettengill and which one is Michael Cole. One thing is for sure, neither is Shawn Mooney.

UUDD is the only gaming channel I've ever found that I enjoyed. I'm sure the wrestling and the interview aspects helped a lot with that.
As far as I can tell, they were using the Turbo edition of SFII, which allows E. Honda to move forward. We'll see how the rematch goes. I'm hoping it somehow results in Miz putting Maryse up as a prize.
I'm eagerly awaiting the finals of the Madden tournament to see if Rollins successfully defends his title. They insinuated that he would be filming the final game at some point, and he definitely won his semi-final match after being injured, as evidenced by how much trouble he was having walking after the game. (Random note: Former Money in the Bank winners only lost to other MITB winners in the tournament. The finals is between two MITB winners, Rollins & Swagger.) | Greymarch

Did they take all of Kevin Steen/Owens backstage videos down that he shot? They were before and after shows. Either nobody told JBL that UUDD is a shoot series, or he really is as much of an insufferable asshole IRL as he is on TV.
I didn't think RAW was horrible, and it was helped by the Authority staying well off-camera. It helps that I'm an ECW mark, so it was cool seeing Rhyno make an appearance. And I think I've fallen in love with Sasha Banks. She really needs to be in the Divas title picture, but as long as she's actually wrestling, I'm cool.
Hate the talky main events tho. I switched as soon as 10pm hit, never a good sign for RAW. At least we had New Day, Banks, and Team Extreme.
