How'd they narrow it to ten? That must have been a way tougher decision than the ncaa football playoff committee had last year.

As much as I am enjoying them - and I am REALLY enjoying them - I keep waiting for the day that Cena or HHH decide enough is enough and torpedoes them.

I fell into this trap with Ryder. I really hope they are above what happened to him, but I am not overly optimistic.

Regardless, I will continue to enjoy the ride.

Now they are swapping poses with Team BAD.

This stuff is just way too fun. This is the best thing I've seen today:

Xavier has apparently been the color commentator for Superstars for a few weeks now, which I discovered on the Network today.

Not surprisingly, he does well. In the first segment alone, he took Adam Rose's PG use of the word "poop" and turned into into a hilarious diatribe about pooping on top of pooping.

Also, if anyone is interested in seeing the human side of the man who plays Rusev, he appeared on Austin Creed's Up Up Down Down YouTube series, playing Mad Max and talking about video games.

For the uninitiated, wrestlers on UUDD use nicknames and somehow Rusev's nickname became Tong Po during the Street Fighter tournament he participated in earlier in the series. Xavier Woods goes by Austin Creed, which is a mashup of his real name and his pre-WWE name. Kofi started out as Supahfly but has switched to 24/7 after decimating Creed in the Madden tournament. Big E is known as Big Wool because he's a heavy sweater.

Also, Miz recently made his debut on the show, playing in the Madden tournament against Mikaze. I used to feel bad about how often Mikaze gets punked on the show, but then I found out he's engaged to Sasha Banks and I found it impossible to feel sorry for him for any reason, even when The Miz is talking trash on him. (Mikaze is the head costume maker for WWE and is also a wrestler, but apparently he got concussed in his debut NXT match (against the Vaudevillians) and hasn't stepped in the ring since, as far as I can tell.)

In short, if you have any interest in video games or in watching wrestlers talk shit to each other, you really owe it to yourself to check out the channel. It's the first YouTube series I've actually been interested in.

Watching those UUDD videos just made me sad, only because EVERYONE (especially Woods) comes off so great in these. Hell, even Heath Slater seems likeable. Yet it just doesn't translate to WWE TV.

It's long been said that the most successful characters are simply a blown up extension of the actual wrestler's personality. Just look at Stone Cold & The Rock vs Stunning Steve & Rocky Maivia.

Watching New Day on UUDD, it's pretty clear that what they're doing now is exactly that, being themselves on a larger-than-life scale.

WWE needs to accept the fact that very few wrestlers are also professional actors and let them shape characters that are easy for them to play, rather than try to force them into an unnatural role. (Although I would make an exception for Rusev. While the evil foreigner role is played out, he does it perfectly. They could scale back the anti-American jingoism without completely changing the character.)

The fact that this is an official WWE program gives me hope that maybe they'll allow some of it to bleed into the programming. At the very least, they should have a feud start because one wrestler beat the other at video games. (I vote for Neville vs Woods.)

I really thought Mikaze was going to deck Miz at one point there haha. It's like someone forgot to tell Miz that this wasn't kayfabe.

I'm not sure that Miz realizes that life isn't kayfabe. Or maybe vice versa.

There's another video where Miz declared himself unbeatable at Street Fighter 2: Championship Edition, so we'll apparently be seeing him vs Creed at that at some point.

I don't think I've ever been so excited for three guys in The Rumble that have no shot at winning it. They will own the entire rumble. I almost feel sorry for who wins it. He will be over shadowed by The New Day.
