Need to wrestle semi-regularly to qualify. Thus no Brock, Taker, HHH, Sting. Bryan presumably out due to being hurt for most of the eligibility period

This is just me being a nerd and looking at this quickly, but how is Michael Bennett fourteen spots higher than Matt Taven, is it the Maria factor?

The Young Bucks are kings of the indys and had a better year than a lot of guys ahead of them.

Roman Reigns at #4, suck it haters!

Randy Orton #6, suck it BigDaddyLoco!

I love King Barrett, but he should be way below a lot of guys below him with the way he's been booked this year.

Also, I think they throw darts for the midsection. How do Adam Rose and Heath Slater outrate Enzo? And really, Ryder isn't so bad he should be #477. Going by the Wrestling Prospectus, he has a better record than Adam Rose.

They missed the memo that the top three were #1 Big E (due to dancing skills), #2 Xavier Woods (due to trumpet ability), and #3 Kofi Kingston (due to being megadad of the year).

Lashley really should have been #1 or #2. This was his year.

Part of me wants to say ECIII should have been higher, but the TNA winter break and his injury did derail his momentum for a while during the time period in question.

Roode deserved top 10.

Surprised Angle wrestled enough to qualify.

Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards (the Wolves) should have been higher. Same with Spud.

Poor MVP. Would have deserved #1 had he not gotten injured. He never recovered from it, so he's probably placed more or less correctly.

I think Grado shouldn't have been so low.

Zack Ryder's ranking has to be a rib.

Midwest local guys include Jake Dirden(first time in the 500), Brandon Espinosa(who's been in there for a while), and Jeremy Wyatt.

27 of the 33 members of the Lucha Underground roster made the list. I'd argue that all 27 of them deserve to be ranked higher.

The six that didn't make it are Bengala, Daivari, Marty "The Moth" Martinez, Mascarita Sagrada, Vinny Massaro, and Pimpinella Escarlata.

I have to assume that, coming in late, Daivari and Marty simply didn't have enough TV time to make the list because their performances absolutely warranted recognition. Daivari has been there before, in 2012 & 2013, maybe earlier but I didn't go any further back than 2011.

I would imagine that Bengala and Pimpinella Escarlata both have better performances than many of the people at the bottom of the list, though I wouldn't put more effort into arguing it than required by typing one overly long sentence.

Not sure if minis are eligible, I'm guessing not since Ctrl-F doesn't turn up the word "cita" or "mini".

Vinny Massaro I'll grant probably doesn't warrant a spot based on his two jobber appearances on the show.

Also, I think it's time they integrate the men's & women's lists. There are several women who would definitely rank higher than quite a few men on this list.

Mil Muertes killed an immortal dude. Bray Wyatt tried and failed to kill an immortal dude. By any set of advanced statistical analyses - and yes, I am a wrestling sabermetrician, a faybermetrician, if you will - Mil Muertes needs to be above Bray Wyatt, at minimum.

Immortal dude = 100
Fighting only = 50
Killing 100
El Rey on 40 million TVs
USA on 96 Million TV

Muertes - (100*100)*40 = 400000
Wyatt - (100*50)*96 = 480000

Gotta go Bray

If I wasn't already busy working out how Twin Shares factor into evaluating Nikki Bella's potential record-setting run for The Fabermetrics Journal, I'd really pull these numbers apart.

But for now, I think that if you dig a little deeper into the Rudo-Assisted Wrestling Index Statistical Wins Above Replacement figures for Mil vs. Bray, you'd see a huge shift in Mil's overall performance. And that's not even getting into things like Wyatt's Unintentional Spiderwalk Rate, or how much of an impact Wyatt's dreadful CENA numbers from 2014 have had on his 2015 output.

Comparing people from different promotions involves a lot of subjectivity to be sure. I am basing my opinion of Bobby Lashley upon his ultra dominant title reign in late 2014, plus a lesser boost from his strong title reign this year. (I believe the time period covered is August 1, 2014-August 1, 2015.) I don't watch WWE, but my impression from the RAW/PPV posts on this message board is that Rollins's title reign has not been a strong one. Cena is always a respectable top tier competitor, but he seems to have only held the title for a few weeks in the past PWI year. Reigns and Orton failed to hold the title at all.

I can't comment on Lucha Underground since I haven't yet had the time to watch them. (I definitely intend to at some point--I watched their first episode and loved it.) So, I admit that its possible that they could have guys deserving of being ranked higher than Lashley.

      Gotta go Bray

(edited by AWArulz on 4.9.15 1059)

This is really, really important:

What does CENA stand for?

okay, first off, you know, let me tell you something

- every NASH interview, etc

Missed some things and I don't search, what is Fabermetrics Journal

CENA stands for Can't Understand Normal Thinking. His character, not the person

For the 500 - Styles, Okada, Tanahashi...all those Japan guys. All good. Rollins or Cena did not have a standout match (unless you count the Cena / Cesaro match) this year

Kevin Owens is my current favorite. Until he got jerked off. He's coming back now

We need Samoa Joe. But he's like 40 and going nowhere probably. Good on NXT, but he could be a better Rusev and the fuckers Samoan

GURU/CRZ - please add Tanahashi , Cena , Cesaro , Rusev to the spell check. Grazi

and Fabermatrics, right?
