Oh good lord was that PAINFUL. Although some people will still love Trump after this I think the end is near for him. He came across like a total tool (not that he isn't one to begin with). Rubio made some decent points. The Ohio Governor sounded like a progressive Republican, which isn't TOO bad a thing, but I can't remember his name, so......

Rand Paul sounded like a libertarian 100%, which won't win him enough GOP hardcore support.

Huckabee........... why is he in the top ten?
Carson barely got any screen time, but sounded at least like he was the smartest man in the room.

Cruz was froze out by Fox.
Christie arguing with Paul and taking the pro government spying stance will kill him with the Tea Party crowd.

Seems the best performance of the day was in the "JV" debate. Carly Fiorina impressed me.

Anybody else watch either?

I watched for the Trump spectacle. Which was there in spades. Too bad the Fox moderators did all they could to make him look terrible. I remember how all the conservatives crapped on Candy Crowley for her over the top obvious bias when she moderated, then their golden girl does the exact same thing.

Read a few stories about how the big money GOP donors ordered the rest to take out Trump, but I don't think they needed to, I think he's talking himself out of the race.
Bragging about how he took advantage of laws to get his bankruptcy cases through, while saying it's no big deal that his investors lost billions because they're "monsters" (paraphrasing) made him seem like the stereotypical rich white guy.

And hey, did you know that Kasich's dad (wouldn't know his name without the graphic up top) was mailman?

Overall, it's going to be a tough race as far as who the media and donors try to push.

Now if the Democrats could figure out their debate schedule and stick to it, we'd really have some entertainment.

Are you implying that they were right about Candy Crowley? Because the extent of her "bias" was confirming that Obama had referred to Benghazi as terrorism, which was simply true. The rest was pure Republican paranoia.

I didn't see all of the debate, but I think the same probably holds true here. They only appeared to making him look terrible because there's so much stuff that does make him look terrible.

That's the reason I watched, and apparently the reason for most other people also.

http://money.cnn.com/2015/08/07/media/gop-debate-fox-news-ratings/index.html

Early overnight Nielsen ratings suggest that Thursday's Republican debate was not just the most-watched primary debate in history -- it may have been twice as big as the previous record-holder.

I'm not implying anything. I'm saying it straight out. If you don't feel she showed bias, that's all well and good. What I was saying was that the conservatives who were crying about it have no right to complain once their rock star media person was pulling biased routine crap.

BTW, I do feel Crowley was showing bias, but it didn't effect anybody's opinion, or attempt To, of any one candidate.

So Trump said earlier if he wasn't treated "fairly", he would run as an independent. Fox News clearly went after him hard last night. Yes he set himself up for that, but he was the only one they pressed for answers and wouldn't let get away with not. Do they think he's bluffing? Because I'd greatly enjoy him doing it.

Biggest take away from the night was him openly talking about how businessmen buy politicians. I mean we all know if, and it's not bribery because the people being bribed write the laws, but jesus. I don't get how people aren't more upset about this.

Note to all candidates now and in the future in case they read here: I don't give a crap what your father did for a living.

That was a depressing/funny show.
