| #1 Posted on 4.8.15 1401.08 Reposted on: 4.8.22 1401.10 | An interview with Hogan would've certainly disappointed given the likely expectations. Highly doubt Austin would've asked "hey, why haven't we ever wrestled against each other one-on-one?" Paige was a very enjoyable replacement.
I admit, regrettably, that I knew nothing of Paige's story before last night. Her background and upbringing in the business is legit. They should maybe focus on this just a little bit more on television.
She was a really good interview (and Austin is a really good interviewer). Anxious, but not nearly as anxious as her non-stop hair-playing would suggest...just kidding.
She also has good stories, particularly those about her breaking in as a teenager (which may or may not have been seasoned with embellishment), and the one about Dusty mentoring her on promos.
Anyway, I came away from this with a newfound respect for her as a performer.
Someone should've dared her to ask Austin about wrestling Brock at Mania. It was right there...he opened the door.
Side note: I noticed this habit Austin has when he's doing these podcasts. When the other person is talking, he sometimes gestures with his hands as if to interject, maybe with an immediate follow-up or just to say he agrees with something, but in reality he doesn't intend to say anything. It's just an involuntary gesture. I do it all the time. Last night was the first time I think that the interviewee stopped talking and let Austin proceed, but he had nothing to say. Was pretty funny. Colt Cabana's podcast was Saraya is really good, and amazingly straight forward about some ugly situations. She may only be five years older, but she seems like she's lived a lot more years than most anyone. | InVerse

From the small number that I've talked to, this seems to be true of every woman who runs away from home at age 15 and is still alive to talk about it twenty years later. | CruelAngel777

| #11 Posted on 6.8.15 1602.45 Reposted on: 6.8.22 1610.14 | Playing with your hair is what girls do when they are nervous sitting across from their teenage crush. I don't know why it's weird to imagine Paige doodling pictures of Stone Cold with little hearts and beers on her trapper keeper but it's something to ponder.
Man I've met many women who claim to be tough but Paige got hit by a car, dragged herself back home, and her dad just said walk it off you got a match tonight but I'll take it easy on you, you don't have to take the ring down TONIGHT. Her family was like a Charles Dickens' tale of a group of criminal circus gypsy hooligans. I loved Paige and Soraya as the Knights Dynasty in Shimmer, and mommy was the truth. I still wish they would bring her mom in occasionally ala Brock and Heyman as a manager. Those two as heels would have Vickie Guerrero heat! | Stefonics
