Insufferable douchebag wouldn't give up his ability to "editorialize" stories, plus he wasn't willing to km love to Bristol or LA to do the show.

So long dickhead. Maybe Dan Patrick will have u ou as a sidekick.

.....they fire him because he doesn't want to stop doing the thing that made them rehire him?

I want Keith and Bill Simmons to start a website together. Sports and politics and whatever the hell else they want to talk about. It'd be a lot better than that non-starter bullshit Jason Whitlock was supposed to do.

Nice to see ESPN stand by rapists and domestic abusers yet fire somebody who actually called out hypocrisy in sports.

And ESPN wonders why nobody gives a damn about them anymore.

This is the reason (kinda) why the AP stopped allowing their poll to be part of the BCS formula. They felt that they could not create the news and cover it at the same time.

ESPN is in this position of being a partner with leagues that they air on their networks. There is no way can do their news coverage justice without alienating their partners.

Eventually they will need to choose: Do they cover sports news or just air highlights and air the sports programming? Right now they are trying to do both and the ones trying to do real sports journalism are being shown the door.
