Well, if we never see Zack Ryder again (and given the little airtime he's gotten over the past few years, why should we believe we will?), then it looks like tonight closed the book on him in a decent enough fashion. Long Island Iced Z was the latest challenger for the John Cena Open Challenge, getting in his token jobber offense and even getting some interference from the Entourage cast. But a missed 450 splash (!) did him in and that would be all John Cena needed to overcome the odds, Rise Above Hate, drink your milkshake, etc. etc. etc. Cena raised Ryder's hand post-match in a nice gesture.

And then KEVIN FUCKING OWENS laid out Cena for the second week in a row! Owens' heel mannerisms (which extend to emphatically stomping the U.S. title) are just the best. They would be out of their gourds to play Sunday as just another John Cena match. Owens is on the roll of a lifetime and there's no reason he shouldn't go over this Sunday, especially since the title isn't even on the line.

In other less exciting developments, instead of coming up with new and exciting angles for 2015, The E continues to try and live out their greatest hits samples. Contract signings! Arrests! 20-minute Triple H promos! Driving a vehicle into the arena! Seen it. Seen it. SEEN IT! Seen it. I'm seriously with Justin at this point in that the Authority has become a complete albatross on this show, because we know what Rollins and Ambrose are capable of and they deserve so much better than to be going through the authority angle motions. At this point, I'm still on board in spite of the Authority and not because of them, because the actual wrestlers are proving way too talented to turn away from. And at this point, these angles are just beneath them.

And instead of elevating Rusev to the main event land he was destined for, he's now stuck in a love triangle with Lana and Dolph Ziggler that's just dreadful. Honestly, all three of these people deserve so much better than this. This is not filling me with confidence for Rusev's future following his recent placement on John Cena's victims list.

That's all I've got. Go!

Ah, but it is! Oh, you weren't talking about the WWE Linear Championship (voicesofwrestling.com)?

Skipped most of the show, saw some of the last hour. Ryder had a good showing and more airtime than he's gotten in... Gods know how long. Owens dominates Cena quite nicely, I admit. New Day vs Everyone was a goofy non-match followed by a spotfest. And I've established how I avoid HHH Promo 'Main Event's like the plague. Sounds like they're sucking the heat out of Ambrose/Rollins with their usual shenanigans. I did see Ambrose got fake-arrested so he could drive back into the arena ... because we've never seen them do that before.

Think I'm going to be taking a break from watching the show for awhile.

I saw most of this show and it was horrid. I really don't know that I have anything to add to that. Just nothing good about it whatsoever.

I think it would do Cody Rhodes a lot of good to do the indy-Japan circuit for a while. He might be in too big a Stardust rut to climb out of otherwise.

Zach Ryder is a turd and he sucks, but man has the WWE done a number on him. This is as good a spot to end it as any. Hopefully he can start having fun again.

Poor poor broken Emma.

Rusev-Lana is terrible. I hate it so much. I think mostly because it is so unnecessary ... but also because it is awful soap opera writing. I hope he can survive this and move forward at some point, but it is going to be ugly for awhile.

I can't believe they did the 20 minute Authority open and close again. Such an embarrassing ending. I kind of thought Roman was going to sign the contract before handing it to Dean.

They have found a lot of ways to make Dean seem uncool.

Owens is going to beat Cena!

So, Kevin Owens is the only guy to make the Cena haters cheer *for* someone rather than cheer *against* Cena? "Really?", asks Daniel Bryan. Anyone responsible for that promo needs to be beaten up.

The guy they did the WWE Network special about after the show - a special which they hyped several times during the show.

You watched the show, right?

Wait a minute, Justin said the Authority is the albatross of the WWE? Really? Really? Anyway, I like Dean and Reigns as Superman and Batman. I am going to name them, the World's Finest. Mainly, because DC refuses to remind people that Batman and Superman are friends.

I feel bad for Ryder. He once again hits the Cena wall only for someone else to get the shinning star like Owens. Owens will win and then lose much like Rusev. Poor, poor Rusev.

Rusev was pretty funny channeling his Bulgarian Al Bundy when describing how women are crazy sometimes was pretty funny, otherwise it was a fun ride for the guy. Everyone knows bigoted evil foreigner guy does great without his much more interesting manager. In fact where do you go with Lana after this? Simply being Dolph's new girl won't benefit either in the long run. Manager for a really likeable face tag team would be great for her but the most interesting two tag teams are heels.

Why are Rowan and Harper not in the fucking Chamber?

I don't think this was Zach Ryder final match, what's with the doom and gloom people? They we're in Nassau Coliseum for the last time and maybe Ryder really pushed to have an on-air match in a place he probably watched WWE as a kid. I don't give a piss about Entourage but the cast sticking up for their boy ala Wolverine was endearing to me.

Tamina is terrible. I hold onto my vacuum theory about the Bellas sucking life out of everyone in the Diva's Div, but Tamina wrestles like she is 500 lbs and has in-ring amnesia.

I kinda liked Dean stealing part of a cops uniform and the paddy wagon to end the show. Fits the character and was funny to me. Plus Roman Reigns is redeeming himself by actually looking out for his buddy while simultaneously attacking his old buddy and his backup. They are redoing the post-Shield breakup right this time.

Three black guys saying they are being discriminated against simply because people discriminate against "positive people"? Genius dude, Fucking genius. New Day does indeed rock.

When I play Words With Friends, I fall into a trap whenever I get a Q. I hold onto that Q, waiting to drop that bomb for maximum points. But to ensure that happens, I have to hold onto a U or an I and sometimes an A so I can make "aqua" if the opportunity arises. Unfortunately that eats up as many as three of my seven letter squares, leading me to work with less and going turn after turn playing maybe two letters at a time. I increasingly lose ground to an opponent willing to play any of his seven letters each turn while I'm sitting on that moneymaker letter, convincing myself I'll make up the deficit with the right timing.

The WWE is me, Brock is the Q, and they are slowly sinking while treading water.

Unless I missed something, it seemed like a waste to have a physical specimen like Stephen Amell in the front row and not have him do anything other than get stared at by Stardust.

Unless, he is a Batman villain, Arrow wants no piece of it.
