Some of the other side stories are fun too, lots of "what if?" style stuff. It's interesting to see that in a lot of those domains people are starting to suspect something's wrong.
But if you try to read too much it can get very confusing trying to keep track which version is alive in which part of the world and what they are up to there.
Personally I loved the "last days.." books too.
The Black Widow book has been one of my favorites the last few years (good story, great art) and the final issue where she basically reflects on who she is now and who she was is very good, though rather brutal.
