| #1 Posted on 26.4.15 2223.18 Reposted on: 26.4.22 2223.33 | Who would have guessed New Day vs Cesaro/Kidd and Big Show vs Reigns would be the matches of the night? They both ruled. The tag match was given a ton of time. New Day make fantastic heels and Cesaro did some nice looking power stuff. Big Show was feeling it tonight real vocal while taking some serious spills, and Roman Reigns keeps his streak of quality PPV matches alive while taking another stiff pounding.
Everything else was in the middle to not very good. I hated Cena vs Rusev. I hate what they are doing with Lana and Rusev, and I hate that Rusev is probably going to have to lose next month too.
Rollins vs Orton was mostly ... dull? The overbooked ending saved it from being poor, but even that wasn't good.
Neville wins (missed it, Twitter said it was good)
Ambrose wins Ziggler wins but loses when it comes to the ass kiss part New Day win Cena Nikki Reigns Ryback squashes Bo, no Wyatt Rollins wins
My feed was trash tonight too. Check out the tag match and Show vs Reigns. Promote this thread! | | Horsemen4ever

When the crowd chanted "New Day Sucks" Xavier Woods was like "Why? What did we do??" Cole accidentally called Big E, Big E Langston! Daniel Bryan couldn't make the PPV, so they had Bad News lose to Neville on the pre-show then had Ryback beat up Bo Dallas in a non-match to stall for time. Can't believe Dean Ambrose didn't lose another PPV match! I don't think Rusev can beat Cena in an "I Quit" match. What a waste. | SKLOKAZOID

They picked the worst finish they could have done for this match, but it's not like the match matters anyway in Free April and since they couldn't have Rollins drop the belt.
And, the announcers didn't sell this well at all. Just because you address confusing points doesn't make them any less stupid. "The RKO Was Banned" yet it was used twice in the match with no consequences for the people using it. It also seemed like they had no real idea where to take the Kane story.
Solid undercard matches, though. Reigns' biggest flaw is still his personality, which is pretty much the most important thing in being a WWE main eventer. His matches are solid, but he still needs more fire. The stakes are pretty low now, though, so I expect him to become a guy at the top, but he still needs a lot more to become THE guy.

It would be kinda cool if on RAW they show "cellphone captures from fans" of Ambrose and Harper fighting all over Chicago.
They could show pics of them fighting in front of well known Chicago landmarks like Wrigley Field and that giant fountain that you see at the beginning of Married with Children. | Reverend J Shaft

| #8 Posted on 27.4.15 0736.09 Reposted on: 27.4.22 0736.30 | I was so bored with this that I didn't even bother to watch the main event which appeared to suck. RIP Daniel Bryan ever being World Champ again. I honestly believed WWE was trying to fire bomb the crowd with the non-finish to Harper/Ambrose, New Day winning, Sheamus shoving Ziggler's face into his ass when it should have been reversed and then top it off with breaking up Lana/Rusev. Getting an end to Luke/Ambrose saved it as well as the nuts Show/Reigns match. Still, this show kinda sucked.
I have no idea why the Authority wants to break up Lana and Rusev other than it was one of the good things on the show thus it needs to be squashed by HHH. Tommy Dreamer had a tweet that summed up Extreme Rules, If you have stipulations to make the fans care and ignore those stipulations why should the fans care at all. Good observation. Mercifully, I am out of the Network as of today as I suspect a large number of fans as well. | andy1278

Who didn't see Sheamus attacking Dolph coming?
LOVED the tag match. I'm a fan of all four men, and they all looked great. Natayla's little moment worked perfectly, and Xavier was gold outside of the ring screaming at everything. Most importantly, the fans were very into it, both cheering on Cesaro & Kidd and laying it on New Day. This match deserved to escape the preshow and I'm glad it did.
I liked the "you never know what could happen" moment of the car blazing in right next to the post-match New Day interview. The shows need more of the "you never know what is going to happen" moments like this.

Nope. They just straight up made a stip they never enforced.

The car stunt in street fight was so corny (not quite Roddy Piper-Goldust corny, but still) I was half expecting them to return with footlong dogs and Cubs hats.

I liked the show fine. I was pleasantly surprised by Big Show/Reigns. The tag title match was stellar. I love how it sets up newly-minted faces Cesaro and Kidd pursuing new dastardly heel New Day. (At least, that's my hope. They could just be faces in Chicago. Who knows?) | MoeGates

Let's all wait to see what the angle is tonight. Maybe it'll make sense, maybe it won't.
Since the Curb Stomp is apparently banned, my money is on the angle being Seth stealing the finisher (that wasn't an RKO. RKO stands for "Randy Knock Out. Do I look like a Randy? That was an SKO!"), and a continuing feud over who gets to use it as their finisher. | Stefonics

| #17 Posted on 27.4.15 1330.15 Reposted on: 27.4.22 1330.17 | It also stands for Randall Keith Orton. I'm not a fan of the fighting over the use of a finisher, but I agree with your wait and see approach. I thought that only RKO not being able to use the RKO was heavily implied during the build. In that case, and still using the same finish (which I thought was ok), Rollins should've been attempting RKOs throughout the match.
I share the love for the tag match. It was awesome to see Tyson Kidd as over as he was last night. While he's never been my favorite, the guy has been working hard with little recognition for years.
I found myself forgetting who won Ambrose/Harper halfway through the tag match. Then I remembered there wasn't an ending. Then I got an ending. yay.

You mean the heel faction rigged the situation in favour of their own handpicked champion and looked the other way when he did a "banned" move?

| #19 Posted on 27.4.15 1338.57 Reposted on: 27.4.22 1341.35 | Even if Seth doing the RKO was illegal as per the terms of the match, they went out of their way to say at the start of the match that the title could only change hands by pinfall, submission or in this special case, by escaping the cage. Seth losing the match by DQ via violation of the RKO-specific stipulation would not actually cost him the title, so even if Orton goes and digs up the exact stipulation it won't change that Rollins is still the champ.
It'll just give Orton an excuse to stay in the title hunt, perhaps with Kane and/or Roman Reigns rounding things out in a multi-man match at Payback. | SchippeWreck
