If the Raiders sign Tebow, we know he's going into the Black Hole and doomed. If the Patriots sign Tebow, he's somehow going to be playing safety and then scoring a safety in the Super Bowl. Eagles are random and unknowable. They may have a great system to use him, they may also just cut him after OTAs.
I'd be losing my mind if I was fan of theirs but, from a safe distance, it's a interesting science experiment.
(I'd like to think ESPN has been scarred from everyone mocking them for their overblown Tebow coverage that all the networks will play this a lot calmer, but maybe I hope for too much.)
Edit: or maybe the coverage wasn't enough because I totally forgot he was already on New England...

FWIW, I'm cool with it.
Only moves I haven't been a fan of so far are trading for Bradford (thought giving up a 2nd was too rich) and signing Austin.
Other than that, it's all good. Basically swapped McCoy, who was coming off a down year, for the league's leading rusher and a promising young LB (Murray's contract also lets the Eagles walk away a year earlier than the deal Shady signed). Maxwell's overpaid, but we can walk away after two years if he doesn't work out and the alternatives at CB sucked worse. Thurmond's low risk, high reward. Ditto Mathews.
Anyone who thinks Maclin's worth $11m pa is out of their damn mind, so no issue walking away from him.
Tebow sucks, but if you're down to QB3 it's time to pack up and go home anyway, so whatever.

Clearly he has (had?) skills. The Heisman doesn't come out of a crackerjack box. But we know college and pro are different games - it's a crapshoot - seemingly, especially on QBs (what was Rodgers, a 700th round pick?). I wonder if Jamis Winston can play NFL, for example.
I think he was doing pretty well with Denver - went to the playoffs with what I still think was a crappy team. Think of what the man would have learned if he had been backup for Peyton the last 4 years. The system was pretty good for him there.
Boston and The Jets - not so much. Both tried longer offenses. Tebow's not a 50 yard down the field passer. Never was. You want a QB you have to play to his strengths. If you ask me, same reason Cutler has failed. Bears can't find an offense for him, so they have tried a new one each year.
So we'll see. I don't have much confidence. He's been out a long time, he's 27, and there's going to be a lot of scrutiny, which might distract the whole team.

Rodgers actually went in the first round, and was nearly the first pick overall until the 49ers and their offensive coordinator passed on him.
Rodgers is still an interesting comparison, though; Rodgers came out of college with a very bad throwing motion, but three years on the bench allowed the Packers to alter it in a way that remains altered even when the play breaks down and Rodgers gets pressured.
