An additional note. I watched the event with about ten others, all couples, only about 3 or 4 who are wrestling fans. There was chatter and apathy through most of the show, but even the non-fans were glued to Lesnar when he wrestled. That guy may not wrestle often, but his matches are consistently exciting when he does.

The reason I love Brock Lesnar so much isn’t his moveset. It’s that, for whatever reason, everything he does in the ring comes across more *real* than anything anyone else does. Yes, he throws many, many German suplexes, which is just an ordinary wrestling move, but I react every time he does it. I *believe* in his matches and moves. I watch his matches and assign that sense of legitimacy he promised right after he came back three years ago. The main event was one of my favorite matches in a long, long time.
Is WWE’s goal for each Mania now to stun the audience with a huge shocking match ending: breaking the streak last year, MITB cash-in this year? Next year: Rousey taps.
I laughed at Undertaker bringing the lights back up during his dusk entrance. Kind of funny they went with a transparent ring covering. Maybe a tarpaulin would’ve made the ring a little darker.
Loved that Rusev demanded he be introduced first.
I see people pointing to the DX run-in during HHH vs. Sting as a connection to the Max Landis video. I don’t disagree – it’s the “funny because it’s funny” connection. The “funny because it’s sad” connection is HHH standing in the ring later trying to make himself believe he is the best and making himself the focal point of what is likely to be a match at *next* year’s Mania.
Shawn Michaels super-kicking Sting: acting as representative of DX, or acting as Sting’s WWF/E counterpart – the *other* icon who never jumped ship. If you REALLY want to sell out AT&T Stadium...just kidding. | InVerse

Could that be because the announcers sell it every time he does it? Imagine if they sold every move Dolph Ziggler did, he'd probably be far more believable as well. | reviewswithalex

I would think that Sting/HBK is another potential match for him if Shawn is willing to come out of retirement for "one night only" in front of 100,000 people in Texas, especially since his retirement was voluntary and Austin doesn't look like he'll do the same.
Sting and HBK are already Jesus Bros. outside of the ring and we have a potential setup with the Superkick to Sting (that didn't put him down!), and plus HHH and HBK like to alternate WrestleMania opponents on occasion. I wouldn't rule it out.
Of course, it's more likely that we get Taker/HBK in a "You retired me, I'll retire you" deal. | texasranger9

I feel as if HHH-Wrestlemania 19 needs to be on the list of The Days Evil Won, even though it wasn't the last match, nor for the WWE title. Of all of the "pedigrees back to the midcard", that one will always live in infamy.
(The midcard's Jericho-Wrestlemania 26, however, does not belong on the list except as a footnote.)
I will co-sign this. It is also a bit irritating in the Sting/HHH angle Booker T was used, but did not get involved in that match when everyone was. If he superkicked HHH or HBK it would have made up a little for that awful WM X-9 match.
Probably because they would have had to acknowledge that time that Booker T was in the nWo.
HBK kicked him out of the nWo, they could of used that. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
