| #1 Posted on 25.3.15 1302.38 Reposted on: 25.3.22 1305.27 | Much like WrestleMania 27, 31 feels like nothing special and a setup for next year. I'm starting to get the feeling that all eyes are focused on Dallas next April and selling out Jerry World.
NBC and WWE are working on doing more cross-promotional work.
A rumored main event for WrestleMania 32 is Brock vs. Rock.
Dwanye "The Rock" Johnson is hosting NBC's Saturday Night Light this week and already commented to one reporter that he could easily get on a charter flight to San Francisco Sunday morning.
One could argue that The Rock is the only reason Roman Reigns won the Royal Rumble to get the shot at Brock Lesnar's WWE Championship.
And would anyone bat an eye at social recluse Brock Lesnar skipping the Hall of Fame?
All these things to me have my fantasy booking head going.
I'm thinking during the last sketch, you hear a commotion off screen. And then you see Dwayne flying through one of the false set walls. Brock comes through the hole in the wall and stands over him as they do a fast cut to commercial.
When it comes back its semi pandemonium at the main set as one of the cast members tries to close out the show, but steps away from center stage as Brock approaches... with Paul Heyman in tow. Paul takes center stage... "Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman..." and eviscerates the Rock, talking about his being related to Roman Reigns and that Brock did this as a message for tomorrow. Paul gives a final network/WrestleMania 31 pitch of watching Brock destroy Reigns, and they walk off with the credits rolling to no music.
Its just a thought.
And no, I won't be watching SNL to see if it happens. Promote this thread! | | PeterStork

To do an angle like that on SNL with a year to go and people having short term memories isn't going to get the casuals to care about WrestleMania 32. No one is going to remember that a year from now.
Wrestling fans would, of course. WWE would replay it constantly, but they'd be playing to their base already and preaching to the choir who are already on board. | JimBob Skeeter

| #5 Posted on 25.3.15 1429.32 Reposted on: 25.3.22 1429.33 | Its one thing to have Rock up till 1 am or later before taking a red eye out West. Its another thing for one of your Main Event stars to do so. Plus, you'd have to be hoping that the finale gets enough buzz throughout Sunday to drum up the buyrate (its not like people will be bored at work to find clips online.)
If you're Vince, you want Brock to destroy Rock during the opening monologue, when most people are watching. Which could work as long as Lorne wants to play along by making sure the rest of the sketches don't have the Rock in them, or they script them so that regular cast members have to fill in for the Rock, and that's part of the joke. That would be interesting to see them deal with, but I doubt Lorne would care enough to let this happen. | Matt Tracker

Is fantasy booking or a thought a no no here? And I only fantasy booked the last 2 segments. By that point Lorne Michaels is white wine drunk anyway. | JustinShapiro

- Rock as nephew of kissing family (w/ previous cast cameos)
tantamount DING
- something where Rock sells for Leslie Jones yelling at him
DING
- Rock and Taran do word-for-word recreation of the classic "Rock and Hurricane Helms" sketch
in the ballpark
- Rock doing the Bennett/Mooney cadence in the Bennett/Mooney short (plz)
