Carl and the girl fit in a tree. I guess Walkers can't smell humans after all, since they had a dead man parade ten feet from them and never once looked their way.
Carol made tuna casserole, and as it should, it got left on the porch.
Glenn showed the most backbone of anybody on the show, ever, in one brief conversation.
Sasha goes on a walk/killing spree, because "you can't help me".
Darryl finds a W carved walker tied to a tree, and signs of bad things going on, presumably within walking distance from Alexandria.
Maggie continues her streak of not doing anything all season except cry when Beth got killed.
Nicholas lies in is Real World confessional.
Jessie plays dick tease with Rick (I don't need you/please kill my hubby) and hey, did you know she's the hot chick from the first season of American Horror Story? I didn't until just recently. (not to mention, the worst movie featuring school girls becoming spies, D.E.B.S.)
And Rick tries to convince Deanna that the only logical thing to do to the only doctor in existence is to kill him. His pitch didn't go to well, and he probably could have presented it a bit better.
After a hardcore match that Mick Foley would be proud of, Rick goes on a tirade about how none of the people in Alexandria know WTF they're doing and will all die eventually, and Deanna is "yeah, I know who we'll be kicking out" and Rick begins to talk smack when Michonne handles him then looks around for (?)approval, or to say "yeah, sorry about him, don't pay attention to what he said".

No furthering the Father Gabriel story line.I guess we need SOME story to carry over into next season, OR he's going to be all "I told you so" in the finale.

I wondered when this story began if we would see the gang exhibit PTSD, and the answer is yep. That's what's powering the outliers, not a rationale perception of the world. They can't gear down. Michonne's empathy for Sasha is powerful. She shows the poise to be the new sheriff in town.
That was Rick's best scene and the closest he's come to the Governor. Shoving Carl away is more shocking than creeping on Jessie.
The W subplot serves to make Sasha and Rick look reasonable.

I think this may very well be my favorite Rick storyline - a guy totally coming unhinged and barely hanging on by a thread, and yet he's DEAD right about nearly everything. Deanna has created a nice little pretend society that totally falls apart the moment you start actually looking at some of the people using those rules to hide themselves. So everyone knows Pete is kicking his wife around, but let's all just pretend everything is fine because he's a surgeon and we need his skill set.
Same with Nicholas, who was probably viewed by his neighbors as a badass before Glenn showed up. But as Glenn found out, it's all a front and there's not an ounce of testicular fortitude in that guy at all.
So the real reason to throw Rick out? Because he sees through it all and knows that it's all bullshit. He knows that there a real threats and that Alexandria is entirely unprepared for anything serious that may come their way - even if he's doing a terrible job getting his point across (and waving a gun around while rambling like a maniac doesn't really help).
And all the while there's some lunatic(s) tying women alive to trees as zombie snacks and carving W's into people's foreheads.

I think Glenn hit the nail on the head when he said Nicholas just got lucky - that the walls went up just in time.
But they did explain that Noah's community was visible enough as to be ripe for the picking, so I think we have to assume that Alexandria isn't all that visible or conspicuous from the outside. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
