So, Rick has a crush. How long in "real time" has it been since Laurie died?

Michonne doesn't like her new outfit, but literally hung up her sword.

And Carol gave the best speech since Walter White said HE was the one knocking.

Any other thoughts?

I don't think we're seeing the Rick becoming the Governor. Yet. But it does bolster Michonne's new assertiveness to lead the group. He's not turning heel, but his head is swimming with the potential to have stability and security for this family. His judgment is suspect, and I'm glad to see him make a mistake of some sort. He can't be perfect.

Judith looks to be about six months old, so that's when Laurie died.

Carol can do no wrong. Ever. I have spoken.

I think the best part about Carol is how she was acting like she didn't understand weapons at all, while a few months prior, she was teaching 10 year old kids how to murder walkers.

Since they've arrived, Carol has been Oscar-worthy in her deception to Alexandria's people. All smiles, sweaters and cookies. But for someone who is so good at being invisible, she sure did suck that night. She should take lessons from that kid. Now, to see how the kid reacts around her, trying to keep a straight face, but not really hidin he's scared shitless. His parents then noticing, he tells them he's kinds scared of her, they call Carol over, fill her in, she goes: "Oh, I don't know what's got into him. We're besties!", while patting his head, then when the parents laugh and look away, she pulls a chunk of hair out from the back of his head.

Don't know why Rick is trying to be a homewrecker when Shane did the same thing to him. Well, they thought he was dead but Rick can clearly see the neighbor lady has a husband. In the comics, the head of Alexandria was a dude so they gender reversed that. I see they are slowly making Sasha Andrea from the comics with her sniper skills. In the comics, Andrea is still alive, Carol committed suicide at the prison, and Daryl doesn't exist. So there's a ton of things that can happen differently on the TV show.

Every little thing they do with him right now is kind of amazing. That ever so subtle reach for his *other* gun as he watched Jessie and her husband walk away...

That final shot of Rick, almost affectionately, listening to the Walker scrape against the outside of the fence might very well be my favorite shot of this season. It pretty much explains everything you need to know about the inner turmoil of the character at that particular moment.

That was some cold, intimidating shit to be immediately followed by '...or you can get cookies'. Kid.... TAKE THE COOKIES!

I just got caught up today. Christ, if Carol doesn't at least get the Emmy nod then I am baffled. I love how some of it is matching up to the comics like Michonne's sword on the mantle and Rick's taking over speech. Darryl being the recruiter makes sense if you believe they are going to weed out the troublemakers. Sasha is dead right, Alexandria is make believe. Now, I want a pasta maker.
