Lucy stars Scarlett Johansson as a woman who gains the ability to use a larger percentage of her brain capacity than the rest of us. Apparently this lets her beat people up better. This is from French director Luc Besson (Fifth Element, Leon, La Femme Nikita), who hasn’t directed an action film in 15 years. Unfortunately this met with fairly negative reaction from critics and audiences alike.

Miles Teller is having a couple of great years, having appeared in successful Hangover knock-offs, (21 & Over, Project X) Sundance Award Winners, (The Spectacular Now, Whiplash) and even the start of a huge franchise (Divergent). He has also filmed two romantic comedies, That Awkward Moment and Two Night Stand. Neither have the pure idiocy of Hanover knock-offs or the heart of the Sundance winners, but both have some decent laughs that won’t make you hang your head in shame.
