I kind of hate this splitting of episodes where you have to wait TWO WEEKS to find out what happens in a cliffhanger. We still don't know who was coming out with Daryl in the woods. Next week's previews seems to be what happens right after Daryl and Carol took off after the car with the white cross. Promote this thread! | | BigDaddyLoco

This really was one of the light-hearteder episodes ('Guy with a creepy mullet likes watching people screw and says weird things before taking out zombies with a water cannon. Hilarity ensues.')
And all that was missing from zombie water cannon was commentary from John Henson and John Anderson.
I'm probably alone in this, but I really liked the way they played out Eugene's big secret (which was that he was SO FULL OF SHIT it was obvious to nearly everyone watching the show). But instead of making him just full of shit, he was full of shit because he was scared and needed help surviving and felt he had nothing to offer but the lie in order to live - and in that brutal moment of honesty he becomes a somewhat sympathetic character (I like how Rosita reaches for her gun when she stops Abraham, the guy she was in bed with the very evening before, from beating up Eugene ) - even if everyone's really gonna hate him for a while. And you do get the sense that he's aware that his lie came a great cost, and that cost does wear on him.
This was definitely a different episode than anything we've seen yet, but it was well played out. And Abraham's backstory also fell in nicely. | oudom

You mean the truck that he was looking straight at and aiming directly at? Even my wife, who hasn't read the comics, saw that. She kept asking me: "Did he just do that on purpose?" Me being the non-spoiler husband: "I don't know?" | Mr Shh

But the reasonable and obvious answer was much better. I thought the flashbacks were great at informing us of Abraham's motivations.

Eugene's logic that Washington DC might be the best protected city has some merit, if only in hopes that colder weather would stifle the walkers. Otherwise, hunker down where you are or make for the coast.
Maggie has her hopes dashed, Abraham has his purpose removed, and everyone else has to decide how much to trust anyone after this. I do not care to see the Redemption of Eugene as I see nothing to root for. Which means we have two groups with deadweight survivors, including the preacher in Rick's protection.
So, I am all for a Carol and Daryl episode. | Wpob

Now, he didn't save the lives of the rest of their party, so he should die now. I think I know people like Eugene where they would bullshit their way to join the group. To be fair, I think there would be more Eugenes than Ricks and Darryls in real life. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
