Having said that, the wrong person won that award and its becomingly uncomfortable watching that Sheldon character borderline mentally abuse Amy. I have tried to watch Modern Family and minus my love of Al Bundy, this show is a very paint by number show with little thought, its no wonder the Emmy comedy voters love it. The voters thought they were voting for West Wing, because there is no way with that group does Allison win. Louie, that is all I can say about how bad the comedy awards are.
Good for Sherlock, but Random Heart deserved the main award, glad to see they didn't get shut out. Breaking Bad winning was a crowning achievement/memorial award and it was all well deserved. | Mr Shh

So, across the major awards, OITNB and True Detective got shut out, while Fargo and The Normal Heart got the bare minimum.
I think OITNB got punished for submitting as a comedy.
Having to sit through a lot of shitty choices was partially offset by mostly good comedy throughout the show. And Seth Meyers was really good. The bit with Seth and Billy Eichner talking to people in New York was pretty awesome.

And I just can't help myself...

She deserves it.
And Louie is an awesome show and probably one of the more innovative comedies to hit the TV in a long, long time - to the point that I'm a little surprised it's even on TV, much less won an Emmy. | Zeruel

If this site is to be belived Click Here (goldderby.com), then they picked their six funniest episodes to submit. I do believe that it is more drama than comedy. Especially episode three, "Lesbian Request Denied".
OitNB stuff from the link:
After Emmy nominations were announced on July 10, nominees were tasked with submitting samples of their best work to judges. Series producers choose six episodes of each show, which are distributed randomly to three groups of voters (all members of the TV academy are invited to participate) who view two episodes. Actors submit one episode to juries comprised of other actors.

BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Holy crap how did she win? Mayim Bialik should have won for playing Amy Farrah Fowler on TBBT. She is the best thing about that show. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
