I really love The Young Ones, I didn't have MTV when it was on (seemingly throughout the '80s and '90s) but my friends who did all were huge fans. When the show came out on VHS in the late '90s (and on DVD soon after), we watched every episode over and over. Truly classic comedy (with some great music to boot!).

His characters in Blackadder, Bottom, the Young Ones are all classic. One helluva comedian. It's a sad day. Oh, and of course Allan B'Stard. The name alone always had me in stitches.

Even though it'd been years since I'd heard his name, it was a shock to hear he'd passed.

He was golden on The Young Ones. Probably the funniest scene from the funniest episode.
