| #1 Posted on 9.5.14 1452.13 Reposted on: 9.5.21 1452.13 | Charlotte defeats Emma with the Charlotte's Web in a first round match-up of the NXT Women's Championship tournament. Charlotte repeatedly worked the Figure Four headlock during the match. Emma went to hit Charlotte with the pink cobra but hit Sasha Banks by mistake, allowing Charlotte to do a botchy inverted roll-up bridge cover.
El Local (Ricardo Rodriguez) & Kalisto (no relation) beat The Legionnaires Marcus Louis & Sylvester Lefort. The Legionnaires came to the ring with a French flag. I liked this gimmick better when it was La Resistance, or the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers.
Camacho defeats Captain Comic with a running powerslam. Captain Comic was the Exotic Express member Camacho attacked last week. He hails from Comicon, and wrestled with his cape on. Adam Rose comes out after the match to protect Captain Comic from Camacho.
We're told Renee Young is now permanently part of the broadcast team.
Alexa Bliss reversed Alica Fox's tilt-a-whirl backbreaker move and rolled her up to advance in the NXT Women's Championship tournament. Alexa Bliss blew sparkly fairy dust into the camera during her entrance, as was repeatedly called a fairy by the announce team. She's also only 5'1".
Adrian Neville is interviewed backstage about battle royal to determine the number one contender for his NXT Championship. We are then shown the ring, already filled with many NXT wrestlers. Mojo Rawley, Sami Zayn and Bo Dallas all get entrances and the match starts.
Order of elimination: Oliver Grey, Curt Hawkins, Brodus Clay, Danny Burch, Aiden English, El Local (eliminated during a commercial break), Sylvester Lefort and Kalisto, Camacho and Xavier Woods, Mojo Rawley, Jason Jordan, Baron Corbin, Yoshi Tatsu, Mason Ryan, Colin Cassady, and Bo Dallas.
We're left with Sami Zayn, Tyler Breeze and Tyson Kidd, who all go over the top rope at the same time. COO Triple H comes out, and asks the crowd what they want. The crowd chants triple threat, and that's what we're getting next week. Promote this thread! | | SchippeWreck

He looks crazy short on TV, though. Not sure if I like him partnered with Local, who seems kind of awkward and un-lucha-like by comparison. | oudom

I guess Tyson needs the rub??? Triple H still sounds sick, so I guess this must have been taped weeks ago. They showed the replay and it looks like Tyler Breeze's feet landed last...he should be the winner. | Tenken347

Evil Frenchmen is, I think, distinct from Evil French-Canadians. Personally, I just like that they're a team with a gimmick. Kalisto was also a blast, and I'm looking forward to more of him.
Finally, I'd like to point out that Alexa Bliss won with a "small package," because of course she did. | InVerse

And at least Lefort is actually French, unlike La Resistance. (I'm not sure about Louis.) Also, Lefort was trained by Lance Storm, which bodes well. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
