I see them as having, basically, three cards to play to make somebody. Card #1 was Beat Brock Lesnar, which they have, against all logic, used up all their turns on for up-and-coming future stars John Cena, HHH and The Undertaker. CM Punk, notably, was used to recharge the Beat Brock Lesnar Card rather than Beat Brock Lesnar. Card #2 is the Beat John Cena card, which they played for Daniel Bryan, only to immediately have him lose the belt and get revenge by having Dave Batista beat Randy Orton. CM Punk, notably, got to sort of play the Beat John Cena card only to immediatley have him lose the belt and get revenge by having HHH beat Kevin Nash.

The final card is the nuclear option, Beat The Undertaker, which will most likely destroy the career of whichever person gets to use it. I will predict now that Luke Harper will Beat The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXXI only to be immediately beaten down by Mojo Rawley and get revenge by having Harley Race beat up Ric Flair in a match with a confused CM Punk on commentary.

Seeing Hulk Hogan be Hulk Hogan in 2014 is just weird to me. Maybe the Radio Shack ad has something to do with it. Like he shouldn't exist in the same world as Total Divas reality and CM Punk tweets.

Speaking of Punk, it's so strange to have him completely out of the Wrestlemania picture. Especially considering how he and UT basically stole the show last year. One can only hope that "Cult of Personality" hits during the show and we get a run-in or something.

The last guy to insult Hunter about hiding behind his wife ate a pedigree. His justification was Punk insulted his wife so he deserved to go over. Like in the Wrestlemania tbread, I stated that Wrestlemania should be a culmination of a year story line. That should be Bryan holding the title over his head.

Alongside Bayley, Emma has been feuding with Summer Rae & the BFF's ( Sasha & Charlotte ) at NXT & in fact had a great match on last week's show. Emma is challenging Paige for the Women's Championship Thursday at NXT Live on the network. I think Paige will actually retain for a little longer as Emma is now established as a main roster character but going to drop it around WM and then come up to Raw/SD ( hopefully with Becky ). I don't have a whole lot of trust in WWE creative but they have the makings of a really good Diva's division coming together again if they just actually treat it as more than an afterthought and eyecandy.

Source please. I have never heard that given as the reason they went with HHH winning back in 2011.

Seeing Hogan out there was cool but it also drove him that he really isn't "The man" anymore.
He got a nice pop, but no crazy ovation. The crowd played along but by the end was ready for the next segment.

So yeah, Hogan's back home but this time around the fans won't put him in a spot where he doesn't belong anymore.
Hogan is now what he should be, a hall of famer, but no longer someone we want/need to see in the ring.

I'm clueless as to where they'll go with Bryan, HHH and any title matches.
Right now it isn't even so much that I want my personal favorite Bryan to win the title, it's just that I cannot believe that WWE would be so willing to screw up their biggest show of the year (biggest show ever?)

The fact that Batista already sorta turned heel tonight is promising.
The Uso's graciously stepping down only to come back for the kick was good. Something the NAO would've done themselves.
And AMbrose coming back to save his brothers was awesome of course. The Shield continues to be the best booked story for the past 16-18 months.

Folks, we have a lot of fun intelligently discussing what Daniel Bryan's role should be going into and at WrestleMania. A lot of our talk has been around what the bigger prize is on the grand stage: Triple H or the title.

And, as we discuss, we look to certain big events of the past as potential models for WMXXX. Some look to 1999 when Austin first conquered Vince before eyeing the title at WMXV. Some say that Bryan going in as champ, like Eddie at WMXX, is what's best for business. WMXX provides another solution: make the title match a triple threat by adding a challenger other than the Rumble winner. Others say Bryan can conquer both his goals on the same night, and look at WM's X or 2000 for ways to accomplish this.

All of these are good ideas. But I submit there is one we overlooked. The reason being it accomplishes neither of Bryan's goals. But it does give Bryan a spot in the main event, and I see it as something highly likely to be offered to Bryan. For this, we look to Judgment Day 1998: I can't wait to see the reaction when Triple H offers Bryan the guest referee spot in the title match.

I guessed back in August that Bryan would probably get screwed at the Rumble to play into the whole underdog vibe he had going, Punk however would win.

This would then lead to a grudge match with HHH at EC, where if Bryan wins he gets inserted into the title match at WM, making it a three way dance between Punk/Bryan & Orton,

Punk gets a rumble win and closes WM, & doesn't even have to eat a pin.

The problem is the company lost faith in Bryan somewhere around September/October time & signed Batista, leading to the fuckery we have at the moment, where somehow they now have to engineer things so that Bryan still gets his moment *without* giving him the belt at the grandest stage. Which sort of *is* his biggest moment.

It's pretty amazing the number of upper-mid-carders/former main events that have NO obvious feud/match for 'Mania: Big Show, Mark Henry, Rey Rey, Ziggler, Kofi, Miz...

That as good of a reason than anything else. I still have no idea why he went over and still remember people on this board saying HHH will return the favor at Mania. Of course, it was Mania two years later and in Punk's mind, a waste of his time.

If the WWE really want to make Bray and the Wyatts into a big deal, they could induct more members, and there are a lot of midcarders doing nothing else right now (Sandow, 3MB, the folks you mentioned). It would give Cena more people to run through to get to Bray.

Nononono. They must NOT dilute the Wyatt unit by throwing more people into it. The three-man team works perfectly. They don't need to nWo it.

Fun thing is that half of those (Henry, Show and Rey) I'd consider 'side attractions' as they are on their way out.
Not having them on the card-at this point- wouldn't be noticed.
The other three haven't been used properly in ages and I wouldn't miss them either (which is ridiculous of course considering how much potential they all have in one way or the other)

Now the people that I do miss on the card right now, considering the amazing run they've had in the past 6 months are the Rhodes brothers. Typical wwe tag booking to drop someone the moment they lose the titles.

But, if we get Cesaro, Big E, Swagger, Shield, Wyatts, Uso's in a good role on the WM card, then that's not a bad thing for the 'new generation'

I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing a Tag Team Turmoil match on the WrestleMania card. The New Age Outlaws defend the title against The Real Americans, The Brotherhood, The Usos, Mark Henry & Big E, and hmm, maybe Big Show and Rey.

(However, it looks more likely that The Real Americans will either be facing each other at WrestleMania, or one or both of them will take on Big E for the Intercontinental Title. I'd be okay with that, too. Just replace them in the tag-team turmoil match.)

Alternatively, you could have a tag-team turmoil match for the #1 contendership, and make a straight Outlaws/Usos tag-team title match at WM.

In any event, clearly Cody and Goldust deserve to be at WrestleMania.

I can't for the life of me figure out why the Cody/Goldy match died, unless it's true they just decided they were having too much fun otherwise to split up right now. That could have been a beautiful send-off for Goldust and a great bump for Cody. Which begs the question - is Goldust still locked in through Summerslam or other - ?

Who would have thought back in 2011 that Husky Harris would be a John Cena Wrestlemania opponent?

Undertaker/Brock should be fine, but I feel the "open contract" thing is pretty lazy. Taker doesn't get called out or challenged, he just shows up because the calendar says late February and we just expect it.

Maybe the WWE use the footage of Taker challenging Lesnar before his UFC title loss, claiming now that he waited years for this rematch.
