It seemed to work fine yesterday, but then today I was trying to watch Starrcade '90 so I could watch the ridiculous Black Scorpion entrance, but it keeps freezing up the show and not doing anything.
On the plus side, I finally am seeing those bookmarks that spoil just about every finish. So that part seems to be working like it should. They just don't really do anything when I click on them. | CruelAngel777

| #82 Posted on 26.2.14 0459.23 Reposted on: 26.2.21 0500.58 | I tried watching the Network earlier in the day and could barely get a PPV to go longer than five minutes without freezing or closing on me.
Later on at 1 am I'm guessing the slowdown of traffic helped because I was able to watch ECW Barely Legal in it's entirety, no buffering or video suddenly closing on me. I even fast forward through a match just to test the stream and it was fine. I'm guessing in a month streaming will probably be this smooth regularly.
I watched this from my PS3 by the way. I hear Xbox 360 users aren't doing so great with the network. | Tyler Durden

Sadly, ECW's Barely Legal does NOT have all the mid-nineties music. It does have the Paul Hayman sung "It's Extreeeme Championship Wrrrrreeeeeestling" song, so that is a bonus. I get a lot joy shouting along with that and upsetting my pets, but your mileage may vary.
The network worked like a champ all day Wednesday on my PS3. I could fast forward and rewind, use the tabs, pause and restart with no problem. None of the freezing I experienced Tuesday. I am afraid this is going to be murder on my already pathetic social life. | Vaderblade

Maybe I'll be able to watch on my Roku now. the Live stream has been fine, but VOD seemed to cut out after about five minutes.
From the email:
"We are doing maintenance in order to deliver you a better experience when playing video on demand. During this process, you may experience errors when trying to watch video on demand over the next few hours. We expect this to be resolved by tomorrow morning. The live “OnNow” channel will not be effected. We invite you to enjoy watching video on demand on other devices including desktops, laptops, tablets or mobile phones." | KJames199

| #92 Posted on 27.2.14 0956.32 Reposted on: 27.2.21 0956.49 | My experience watching the Network has been:
1. The commentary. Oh my God, the commentary is so superior to JBL and Moggle Cole. I know it's been said before, but watching old matches called by Gorilla/Heenan and JR/Heyman just puts the current product to shame.
2. Showed my kids the Jake Roberts/Randy Savage feud yesterday, including the cobra gnawing on Macho. I'm so glad the WWE included "This Tuesday in Texas" in the PPV on demand.
3. Went hunting for Benoit yesterday. I had forgotten which Wrestlemania ended with he and Eddie standing tall, so I went and read the descriptions. No mention AT ALL on the menu screen of anything involving Benoit, and then once I started streaming the right show, I tried to tab over to the match and it had no starting marker, no description, nothing. The match is still there, but it is somewhat "hidden." | Guru Zim

| #95 Posted on 2.3.14 1854.50 Reposted on: 2.3.21 1855.01 | Got it! I signed up for six months this afternoon on my laptop using Unblock US, a new Gmail address, and my own credit card (Unblock's FAQ had instructions on how to use a Canadian credit card). I didn't try the live stream yet but I watched The Wrestling Classic and it worked fine apart from one pause. They still bleeped the WWFs but left in an interminable segment where Jack Tunney, Basil DeVito, Lord Alfred Hayes, and the world's most awkward accountant give away a Rolls Royce. | #100 Posted on 5.3.14 0837.37 Reposted on: 5.3.21 0840.00 | It has been mixed for me. I'm alternating between PS3 and Roku.
Playstatioon so far has the more feature full view, but also haas more bugs. Trying to watch main event last night it repeatedly crashed and told me something was very wrong. Trying to access PPV like wrestle mania by year, you can't select from the bottom row (1987 for example).
Roku looks more plain but seems to always work. |
