All your TV are belong to Comcast.

A $45.2 billion stock deal, trumping the $38 billion offer from Charter Communications.

Up here in Northeast Wisconsin, Charter is a minor player out by the lakeshore and Manitowoc areas. Everything else cable is Time Warner...Comcast really doesn't have a presence here.

Thoughts, current Comcast subscribers?

Charter's also big in Central WI, my parents have it.

Anyhoo, I've been a Comcast/Xfinity customer for nigh on 15 years with no real complaints. Comcast is just a loose amalgamation of cablecos they've bought in the past anyway, so expect little to no change on the technical end for at least a decade.

We had Comcast, DirecTV and Dish. Out of the three, Comcast was the least offense in hindsight even though they lied about not having a check, had me make a payment over the phone and then cashed said check the next day. So, expect a lot of that. To be fair, Netflix and Hulu, I-tunes and Smart TVs are going to be the future. This is changing chairs on the deck of the Titanic, but its very costly chairs.

Of course Comcast also controls the broadband that Hulu, Netflix and iTunes are coming through, so they'll be part of that future, even without deck chairs.

I've never had a single issue with DirecTv, but since moving to Mississippi and having to put up with Comcast/Xfinity it's annoying and frustrating. Overpriced services, cheap equipment, poor signal quality, poor customer service. But, your mileage may vary. Good luck.
