Reposted on: 11.2.21 2242.11 | I don't get to see many movies anymore, so I try to be careful when selecting. Today however, I found myself with tome to kill and Monuments Men was showing so I figured why not.
This was a strange little movie. The idea was very good, the cast was stacked, but the movie itself was disjointed and had no flow. I am not sure if they tried to cover too much ground or what, but the movie really needed to be rewritten because they gave us a bunch of random guys floating around Europe. We know they are saving /searching for art but there is no concept of time, or character development and half the scenes don't mean anything to the one that follows.
I didn't actually hate the movie. The amount of art at stake was tremendous, but this would have been better off as a documentary.
I give it 6 out of 10. I wouldn't blame somebody for giving it less. | Promote this thread! |             | lotjx
