The big list of questions.

Is this just a work?

Is Jarrett involved in any of those purchase scenarios that nobody has said is happening?

Was he actually doing much of anything for/with the company lately?

What's next for Jarrett?

I suppose if you don't have any of these answers, I'm hoping for some entertaining speculation. (...although "JARRETT TO WIN ROYAL RUMBLE; FACES ORTON AT WRESTLEMANIA" probably isn't as entertaining as you think it is...or maybe I'm wrong and it's TOTALLY as entertaining as you think it is!)

EDIT: One clue will surely be if/when he changes his Twitter name

Pwiinsider says it's not a work http://www.pwinsider.com/article/82376/shocking-name-gone-from-tna.html?p=1. Pretty shocking given the amount of power he had regained with Hogan and Bischoff out the door. Wonder what'll be next for him. He could make a good chunk of change in the indies and even Japan if he so chooses and he's already working in Mexico for a while now. I never thought there would be a day where he wouldn't be involved in some capacity with TNA. He must have had a big falling out with Dixie. I know never say never, but I can't ever imagine him being welcomed back into the WWE.

As a performer, he's a hollow chocolate Santa. The guitar and the Churchill strut are his only distinct assets. Let's say he makes a one-time Rumble appearance. Why not? But beyond that, I can't see him onscreen in any currently existing capacity.

AAA loves him (and Karen much more), so he'll be part of their US group if he wants to be.

As a follower of TNA from the beginning and a fan of his through out the WWE/WCW days, I am saddened to see him go. When people bitch about how TNA was set up as his company with his belt, I say he earned it and deserved it. Jarrett beating everyone in King of The Mountain was awesome.

My favorite from TNA was him bringing in DDP just to beat him. That was so wrong and right at the same time.

Hey, that may explain the timing. El Rey started up a week ago and comes up on my cable system 1/14/14.

Any official word on the English language lucha libre show beyond what Robert's said up there?

Indeed.

I hope that this doesn't mean the end to the current hot streak that TNA's been on. The formatting of Impact has felt a lot different since Hogan left in October.

As far as WWE matches go, Jarrett/McMahon is a dreammatch if Vince is still healthy enough to wrestle.

March. Or maybe April, or maybe whenever. I'm fairly certain it was supposed to launch right now or January originally, but Robert's show is the best chance for this channel to get any buzz or traction so everything else is waiting for it and that's not ready. I get El Rey now and it's the cheapest 0.0 programming possible, just a step up from a test pattern. The 'real' launch date hasn't even been hinted at yet, but AAA (quite likely by another name) will be part of it whenever it happens.

I don't think Jerry is healthy enough to wrestle.

No one dreams about Jeff Jarrett matches.

Except maybe Jeff Jarrett.

And man, did those wear out their welcome fast. Jarrett's entire Honky Tonk Man schtick of bopping people with guitars was fun for about a year, but he just kept coming back to it over and over again for so many years. As far as characters go, he was about as one-dimensional and one-note as it got. It really overshadowed the fact that he was a solid worker.

With apologies to Daniel Bryan, Jeff Jarrett is wrestling's true B+ player.

Without Jerry there's not a lot of shade between Jeff and Buddy Landel. That's not a knock--solid hands are solid, and wrestling needs regional champs and IC-level guys. His WCW main event run even could've worked for a spell if it hadn't come during the death spiral, but then he probably wouldn't have gotten the opportunity otherwise. But there's no shame in being not quite as good as Tully Blanchard, y'know? Now he can focus on his second career of making inexplicable but awesome cameos in Harmony Korine movies.

I really enjoy midcard Jeff Jarrett. I like neon Double J, I liked nWo silver Jarrett even though it made no sense, and Don't Piss Me Off Jarrett was really good too. It would have been fun if he got to feud with Austin.

I don't really like Jarrett being a big fish in a small pond. That was a tough couple of years of having him jammed down our throats.

If Jeff Jerrett return on his awesome blinking horse I would be okay with him winning the Royal Rumble, becoming the new Unified Champion AND breaking the streak at Wrestlemaina.
