So...yeah.
This past winter, my reporter Matt Smith and I went up to northern Wisconsin to preview the mining legislation making its way through Madison that might bring iron mining back to the Penokee range, in a series of Target 2: On Assignment pieces.
Some people are all for it; some highly against it.
WBAY-TV entered it into the 55th annual Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards on November 3rd (yep, we had to drive down to Chicago and back, one day before the Monday night game. Hey, I had a lot of work to do at Lambeau the next day...)
We had one other piece I edited nominated for an Emmy: the largest-ever group of Pearl Harbor veterans from one state (WI, 'natch) returning to the scene of the attack. Some of the most powerful video I've ever worked with.
Wow...what an honor. I'm still a bit flabbergasted.

That is really cool, Will! Congratulations on the honor! I did like the host's Jake and Elwood exit comment, but I was getting more of a Kevin James vibe.
