This is a dramatic, more "independent" movie that probably isn't at many theaters. Matthew McConaughey did a great job and Jared Leto deserves an oscar for this. The movie deals with HIV/AIDS in the mid 1980's and is very, very good.

I saw this over the weekend. I thought it was really good, with a great performance by McConaughey. We had previously watched the documentary How To Survive A Plague, and I'm glad we did. I think I appreciated DBC more by having a bit of understanding of what was going on then in terms of the government's response to HIV/AIDS. Well worth seeing.
