(image removed) ABC cancelled "Lucky 7" last week, making it the first cancellation of the season. This was the show about a group of lottery winners and now we'll NEVER know how they turned out. They lasted two episodes. Click Here (broadcastingcable.com)

(image removed) Last night, it was announced that CBS finally figured out what everybody who saw ads for "We Are Men" figured out before an episode even aired - it was doomed and needed to be killed mercifully and quickly. It also only aired twice. Click Here (broadcastingcable.com)

The race between "Mom" and "Dads" is on - "Dads" has the inside track!

Mom is a way worse show than Dads. At least Dads has Brenda Song.

"We Are Men" wasn't really bad but can't say I'm broken up about its cancellation.

This one was based on a British show, so you could always read it's Wikipedia page.

FOX kills a show before it even airs: "Murder Police" (avclub.com), a new animated series, was killed months before it was to air. Supposed to star Phil LaMarr, Jane Lynch, Will Sasso, and Chi McBride. The reason: "Fox president Kevin Reilly canceled Murder Police after viewing early cuts and reading upcoming scripts he deemed unworthy of joining the Fox programming block"

"Unworthy of joining the Fox programming block?"

Yikes, that's a low bar.

"Oh no! We won the lottery! But how are we going to split it amongst us seven people? Isn't that wacky?"

Who knew that the TV viewing public, many of whom are either struggling through layoffs or having a tough time finding a job at all, wouldn't be into this show about a bunch of jerks whining about winning the lottery? I would never have guessed.

My first comment upon seeing commercials was "Wow, how bad do you feel as the other three guys to be in a group where Tony Shalloub is the featured name??" A hurdle too high to jump for success, it appears.

Yeah, what a lousy lead. Tony Shalhoub is only an eight-time Emmy nominee and five time Golden Globe nominee. All he's ever done is be the lead actor on one of the most successful cable dramas of all-time, which paved the way for other cable networks to try their hand at original programming. Which is where almost every great television series today comes from.

Yeah, but was a drama and few people are going to see him as anyone bt Monk for a while. You might recall how well Jason Alexander has done since Sienfeld

I felt like Monk was a drama in the same way MASH was a drama.

I'll miss it. It was quite rough around the edges, but it had potential.

FOX orders six more episodes of Dads. (zap2it.com) lol I love how they start the article with "'Dads' isn't going away. The critically despised FOX comedy..."

He'll only ever be Antonio Scarpacci to me. It's still weird when I hear him speak without an accent. (note: I have never seen an entire episode of Monk.)

And ratings bomb, while we're at it. It hasn't exactly been lighting anybody's world on fire and I can't possibly imagine it's going to get picked up for a second season. If anything, it's actively dragging down Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but at least that's getting picked up, too. And with a primo post-Super Bowl slot, no less!

Also, say goodbye to Welcome to the Family, while we're here. The upshot here for many is that this is going to bring Community back sooner.

I don't mind Dads. It has some funny moments, as inappropriate as they seem. Brooklyn Nine Nine is the better of the two so I am not surprised they are getting a post-SB slot TBH.

I'm really enjoying Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, but it's getting absolutely pummeled in the Thursday 8pm slot. Hopefully, ABC tries it on another night before pulling the plug.

I don't understand why NBC cancels shows after only three episodes but keeps that god-awful excuse for a show, Community, despite nobody watching it. WTTF was a genuinely good show but thanks to absolutely no promotion and putting it on an already loaded night, NBC just canned it without even trying.

It's like NBC is just TRYING to fail.

I was looking forward to Dracula but now I'm not even going to bother considering NBC will probably can it a week later any way.

Dads is almost getting the same ratings as Brooklyn 99, so if one got a big order, the other was going to get one, too. Both shows are getting destroyed on the new battlefield of Tuesday at 8.
