I kinda hope he wins, just so we can change our city signs to say:

Feel you guys getting screwed, the new plan is for the popular programs to get money. I would imagine its mostly the military and VA.

I completely agree with all of this. The Facebook thing is the worst. It gets very disheartening to see how many of my "friends" don't have an original idea or opinion. The most popular POV now seems to be "Well, Obama is willing to sit and talk with Iran but he won't sit and talk with Republicans rabble rabble rabble!" Jon Stewart addressed that point more saliently than I could. I don't have a side in this, other than the fact that Obamacare is a law and not just an idea. It went through the proper channels, was ratified and signed.
As a military family living abroad, this has been about 80% of hell. The overseas military members will still get paid. But a lot of members of this very large European community are GS workers. They have the same bills and financial responsibilities as every other American over here, but they are being furloughed. Families are going into panic mode, and this is only day two. I hope for their sakes, that this cleans up quickly. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
